Not all 221 Wago are the same. 4xx 6xx have different ratings. Example 221- 612 is UL listed for 40 Amps. The 4xx 20 Amps. And to be use in wet damp location gotta use the Gel box that Wago makes. For tight box fill try using the 222 line. Also watch out on buying Wago on Amazon, Ebay knock offs are showing up more. Rub the labels with your fingers, if the print rubs off easily then it's a fake.

The Wago 221-4xx are available at Home Depot, most locations. I believe these are authentic. Wago 221-2411 and 221-2401 splicing connectors can only be ordered on line currently, ttbomk including Amazon, so be careful.

I wouldn't use Wago's for cars or motorcycles. The vibration and traveling on bumpy roads may cause the wires to come out unless they are firmly mounted in a holder, so they don't rotate back and forth separately from the wires. If you rotate a push in or a Wago lever nut, the wires tend to back out. They are designed for stationary use in residential and commercial buildings. A better option is to crimp a male and female spade lug, one on each wire and connect them. If you have room you could also mount a terminal block and crimp a ring lug or fork lug on each wire and screw them down to the terminal block.

Is the wago name type connector copyright or not. And other wago type connectors just as good.

C Peck. After twisting the wire nut, follow up with electrical tape to secure it more.

As an european, I'm fascinated how americans can trust those wingnuts, I'd better twist those wires and tape them over, rather than risk fire.
Also, I like tinning stranded wire before connecting it to anything, but I understand not everyone has a soldering iron on hand.
