- Hello! Welcome to a NEW Pantry Makeover at my Mom's house in Montana! Her pantry was messy, disorganized & out of control... so we completely transformed the entire pantry on a budget! We painted, decluttered, added can organizers, baskets to organize the pantry food & made DIY labels for everything! What a difference, just painting and changing the light changed the whole space. Those jar holders and plastic boxes for flour, rice and cereal were my favorites. Home appliances off the floor and more space for countertops in the kitchen makes me smile 😊 ❤
We’ve put off painting because it’s so hard to choose colors but Thanks to you and discovering this paint color we’re doing our whole house in pale oak. We’ve done the two living rooms so far and we love it! Goes so much with different color schemes. Thanks!🙂

The more declutter and organize videos you do the better. I've still not finished my closet. I can only do a little at a time and it's getting better. I really enjoyed watching! ❤Your sweet mom is ready to see everything she has to cook with…can make great meals and she can do it with such ease! Oh, I am so happy for her! I bet she was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to get started and then arrives her precious daughter who “got things done”!🌹I liked the variety of baskets, crates, can organizers, etc you used looked perfect. The paint job totally refreshed it too! So glad you were able to spend WONDERFUL time with your mom and she was SMILING at the end! Such JOY! That alone was the BEST!😃. Wow!! You are a wonderful daughter for doing this for your mom. I did organizing for my mom, but it didn’t stay organized because she just threw things into her pantry because it wasn’t “her thing” to keep it organized. I hope your mom can/will follow through with it, it does take some effort to keep it organized! Great job! ❤

I totally agree with you about getting overwhelmed when you are organizing a pantry! We just moved in to a new home that has drawers as a pantry with only 2 shelf areas, so I had to figure out how to plan and place everything! At times, I was overwhelmed, so like you said, I would tackle a part I was sure of what I wanted, then go back to the other!

You and your momma are so pretty! I love how you did this for her. I bet this meant so much to her as well as getting to spend time with you. I completely understand buying multiple items due to not realizing you already have that item. Currently in my home we do not have a pantry. We have a set of cabinets in the laundry room off of the kitchen that serves as our pantry currently, but the plan is to rip those out and line the walls with shelves and make that room our laundry room/pantry with shelves from ceiling to a little above the floor. I loved this makeover because it gave me ideas for how to organize that pantry once we get it built!

Something that has helped me tremendously in my kitchen is that i have a list of all the food and the amount of it. Then, when i run out of something, i know i have run out. Knowing what i have helps me to figure out what to cook. My list is on my phone, so if I'm not home, i can still figure out what to cook.

Folding tables would have helped the process of emptying the pantry. Washing the containers the day before will better ensure there’s no residual moisture. Tea tier looks great, and taping the instructions under the lid is smart! Love that you could bless your momma.

Saw a painting hack the other day. Put a zip lock bag into whatever you pour you paint into. 2 things accomplished…keeps your cup paint free, any paint remaining..you just close up the bag, keeps your paint fresh and reusable.

My goodness it looks so much better for your mum to see what she has, I wish I had a pantry but in the uk we mainly have cupboards, I remember watching a pantry make over you did along while ago and it boosted me to do similar with my cupboards and it really can be a life changer, it was also a bonus you got to spend some quality time with your mum ❤️❤️

I don't have a walk in pantry, I don't have a pantry at all 😂😂😂, but I've got TONS of cabinets, I have a lot of the same items that you used in your mom's pantry.
I also got a wild hair and a friend of mine became a Tupperware consultant, so I ordered a whole set of pantry containers from Tupperware ( the real stuff, not plastic wear that people misname and call Tupperware, a container from Walmart is not Tupperware lol )
I also have the better homes and gardens containers, the cereal containers, etc. From Walmart, I use those a lot too, for more than food, like my dishwasher pods, etc.

I have a very large can organizer and, in this season of life, it’s not as full as it used to be. I never thought to put canned tuna/salmon/chicken style cans in it. Now I can get those out of my baskets and use some wasted space in the organizer. Great idea!
I really wish I had a pantry.. We live in military housing so no pantries, and everything tends to expire before I find it because it's hidden in cabinets. But you made this space look gorgeous! Definitely gonna aspire to do this in my future home!

Hi Amanda! 🙋🏼♀️ You did a great job with the pantry. He is so much friendlier with the new color, even if it’s just a pantry. And the containers and boxes are very nice. I like the containers that contain flour and rice, etc. are best. I‘m already looking for such, but I don‘t know where I can find them here in Germany. You made your mom‘s work so much easier. And you had, despite the work, spent a nice time together again. You can see it in the last setting, you both shine all over your Face! 😊

I found adhesive library card pockets on Amazon and they work perfectly for putting the cooking instructions on a container of something that has been decanted.

Great job! I so understand the need to do this for your Mom (I did the same). They appreciate it so much. My Mom is fortunate to have 2 pantries so I was able to separate so much and make one a food pantry and one a cookware pantry. They both look like you’ve walked into Williams Sonoma but it’s the ease and convenience that was needed.
