The sound of paper is important isn’t it. Lovely. I’ve got the blue. Gorgeous.
Ohoooooo! Love love the sound of the paper and when you write with the nib, I know exactly what you mean. That makes two weirdos! 🤣🤣
Yay weirdo club 🙌
Good morning 👋😊 ms. paperlover 🌹Thank You for sharing your reviews of this Journal I bought the notepad to see how it was to write on Onion Skin paper I loved it so much that I bought the blue covered book with the silver snake on it enjoy your journal pages I so am stay safe and be careful 🙏✍️🖌️🎨💌🌹👋☺️ enjoy your week ahead too 👍☺️🦄
My parents were artist and once a year they bought me a ream of OnionSkin paper. It is so difficult to find these days. Enjoy it!
Very interesting indeed. I’ve never heard of onion skin paper, but the journal looks gorgeous
I think it has other names too, just known as onion skin because it’s a bit like onion skin!
I love my Onion skin journal. Like you it took me a while to get. It is an odd paper to work on but so much fun. I am now going to get the black. I got ink on my tan one within a week of getting it.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Loved this video! Great review.
Thank you so much for making this video! I never knew there was such a thing as onion skin paper! This was a real eye-opener for me as I’ve always loved vellum and use it a lot. I would love to try onion skin so I guess I’ll have to start saving up! The pages you produced to show your journalling are so delicate and pretty! Just loved them! X
What a beautiful journal. I have never seen these before. So fun to watch your process and gorgeous handwriting 😍.
🤍🤍
Beautiful journaling! Love the effect 🧡
Thank you! 🤍
Interesting. I highly recommend the best paper that I've tried (and I have Tomoe River, it trumps Tomoe when it come to smoothness) for fountain pens- Esleek brand onion skin, typewriter paper. It'd translucent but it's hard to find it's vintage and isn't made anymore (I hope someone revives it).
God bless, Rev. 21:4
This is so interesting. I’ve never heard of onion skin paper. And I really did not expect it to be so translucent like vellum. I’ve made homemade paper and now… I feel like I should be saving my onions skins? 🤣
Also- the snake logo reminds me of a book series called The Eternal Ones! Don’t have a single clue if it would be your cup of tea, but I enjoyed the books.
I don’t think the onion skins will help you 🤣 unless you’re into composting? 😜 I just looked up The Eternal Ones but I think it might be YA fiction? I’m not a massive fan of YA I prefer high fantasy 🙂
Beautiful journal! Did you have to pay any kind of import customs thingies?
Nope! Not sure why as I have on smaller orders from the US 🤷♀️
Did you pay any import? Did you just get 1 notebook? I’m wondering if weight and price will effect import
Edit to say: yay you’ve read WoT?! Love that it’s got the aes Sedi symbol on the front!!
that symbol is the ouroboros, a serpent or dgarogn eating its tail, and it generally is a symble of the cyclical nature of things
@@DesTondola have you read the wheel of time books? If not I’d highly recommend, especially if you like LOTR! But a group of characters wear rings with that symbol. It has its own meaning in the books but I think the author probably took that as inspiration 😊
@@Emilywilson10222 I read the first book, but not my cup of tea, and the fact that at that time Jordan was still writing it at a painstaking speed put me off. It is quite a well known symbol, even the Aurum from the Neverending Story was inspired by that, though it was more elaborated
No import no, not sure why. Weight shouldn’t have any effect on import, they’re more fussed about total price/cost. I’m only halfway through the WOT books so no spoilers please 🤣
I didn’t pay import tax either. You only pay if the goods are above £135, I think that is the figure. This is no where near that price.
