    Just wondering to fellow Karate-Ka and Martial Artists do you tell people you train in martial arts or only to close friends and family.
    I keep it to myself and only too close trusted friends as I don't want the attention also incase some guy wants to fight or a dumb friend starts name dropping etc.
    Just wondering what others do.

    I often think of using walls and other inanimate objects, but some of your applications out of Kata add a new dimension. Thanks for the share.

      thanks for the kind remarks, we really feel like kata can be applied anywhere and being pinned up against a wall is something others don't consider. Thanks !

    I absolutely love what y'all are doing with Karate, and wish to do the same with the grappling arts of Japan (aikido, Judo, jujutsu).

    People who say kata are useless or just a dance have no idea what they're talking about. Thank you for showing that kata does indeed contain some grappling maneuvers in the clinch, which can compliment Judo really well. Osu!

      Hey! Thanks for comment. Part of out goal is to show the use and importance of training kata. 100% applicable to judo. Thanks again for watching and good luck in your training.

    Where can I practice your karate ?

    • @karateculture
      @karateculture  7 років тому +2

      Do you have any experience with karate? Generally speaking, the okinawan styles emphasize self-defense and the analysis of katas for combat. If you've never trained before, that's a good start. We plan on opening a dojo in the near future so when that happens, you're more than welcome to visit and train with us!

    Up against a wall karate. Great idea.
    How about narrow hallway karate.
    In Goju some moves are like in a phone booth karate.
    You guys are doing excellent work. Thanks!
