Charles Louis Hanssens (1802-1871) was a prolific Belgian composer who wrote 8 opera's, concertos for various instruments, overtures, ballet-music and 9 symphonies. Most of his repertoire is forgotten.

You can find them in city archives all over the Netherlands; all it takes is a good amount of research first, but then it is like finding real treasure. Which it is.
