First time viewer… Love these videos with you and Nick. I just recently purchased the Rawlings Renegade 1B mitt. Would this method work on a more supple leather shell of a glove?
What I like to do after a dirty game or even just every once in awhile is take a damp cloth and remove all excess dirt and clay from it. If possible, also always try and keep in room temperature and not in a garage or trunk of a car. Keeping the shape is also crucial. Try to always remove glove from bag and leave palm down inside your room or locker.
Thanks for the vid. What are the differences in breaking in a fielder’s (third base) glove compared to the 1st base glove? Do you have a vid for infielders mitts ? Or is it basically the same ?
Sometimes when models are updated the one replaced is a better play. R9 in gray/white on order! My first glove was an Enos Slaughter we got with S&H green stamps (you may need to google that) - no pocket just a flat piece of leather. Probably learned more that way - eventually moved up to a 4 finger model. Only play then was fast pitch softball until hs. Fond memories - keep up the good work.
Just got my son the youth version of this full custom, it is gorgeous! Mint green and black with neon yellow stitching, the color combo is a dream!
Nice
Great tutorial (and mitt)! thank you Coach
Thx brother

Yes sir thank you
How often can you/should you do this to help break it in? ALso, should it be followed up with some conditioner?
Done right once is enough never conditioner
