    Man these vids are awesome! Been sitting on my 1989 Cherokee 2 door for 6 years knowing someday I would be getting to it, 2021 is that time, thanks.

    What would happen if the trans in the whole thing was assembled up in the truck without putting that retaining clip on the throwout bearing

    Here is a quick question ( If you have time ) I am changing my clutch, flywheel, thowout bearing ect. on my 91 YJ. With the cluch out the jeep won't move and sounds like hell. Not sure if this is the clutch or transmission ( I am replacing the clutch) Is there a way to check the transmission without putting it all back together ? I'm not a youtuber so I don't want to do it twice like you did. By the way THANK YOU so much for this series on the clutch and transmission.

    Hey new follower, watched your videos on son in law xj clutch replacement but I have a internal slave cylinder and I can not get it loose What is the trick, looks like you just slide sleeve into but I can’t get it loose Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    If my slave cylinder continues to fail after new installation, is it because I didn't have the clutch itself replaced as well?

    I need help!! You seem to be the wisest person to ask because no one seems to be able to help me. I've watched many of your jeep yj videos but I need more info. I have a 1993 jeep wrangler yj. I believe my master cylinder hose that connects to slave cylinder is bad. I can't find any literature on how to replace. I see so many videos on how to replace the internal slave but nothing beyond that. How do I replace the slave hose to the master? Please and thank you!

    Did you bleed your clutch after doing this? Or change transmission fluid or transfer case fluid? If yes for the latter two, when did you do that? Before starting the new clutch process or after you put everything back together? Thanks!

    are the bleeder line and supply line into the housing supposed to move? I can move mine back and forth from outside the housing. no leaks they just move about 2 inches in and out if i press or pull on them.

    Is the result of the Slave Cylinder going bad that the Jeep wont move if its in gear and you release the clutch? My 92 just stopped working and I can move the gear shifter but nothing moves. Also, you wouldnt happen to know where the vin number is stamped on the chassis of 92 Jeep wrangler would be, Im trying to find the it but the frame was painted many years ago and I cant find information anywhere as to where the vin number is stamped on the chassis. the reason for needing to know that is in order to ship the Jeep off island (Puerto Rico) the police need to see the number. Appreciate your help.

    What brand did you use? I’ve heard OEM is the most reliable but they do not make them anymore. And a lot of people can have leaking issues with aftermarket brands within weeks to months.

    Hi Dale, I have a 2001 nv3550. I replaced the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, TO bearing, fork, pilot bearing and fork clip. Now it rattles at temperature, in neutral with the pedal released. I removed the starter and can see the clip is still......clipped. I heard of this happening but no real solution. Any ideas before I take it apart?

    Hello, I’m building a ax 15 and piecing it together. I am missing parts and pieces and can’t seem to figure out the name for some of these parts. So I was wondering what the rubber grommet that holds the hydraulic lines exiting the transmission is called

    We put on a plastic aftermarket one and it wouldn't bleed,put the original aluminum one back on because only the clip fell out and line fell out,put your clips in the back so they won't fall out

    Can anyone tell me if the NV3550 and the NSG370 use the same throwout bearing, when mated to the jeep 4.0L? NV3550 (5 speed) used in jeep wrangler 2000-2004, NSG370 (6 speed) used in jeep wrangler 2005-2006.

    In my knowledge the release bearing is separate from the throw out bearing also known as pilot bushing .. the pilot bushing /throw out bearing is located in the end of crank shaft on the engine. .

    Something I've done on my 92 YJ when I replaced the internal slave. That little roll pin and clip that holds the slave in place came out on me once right after replacing the total clutch assembly. To keep that from happening again, I tapped and screwed the slave in place. Adding a bit of blue Lock tight to the threads. The roll pin in my opinion was bad engineering move!

    • @idalieholcomb5126
      @idalieholcomb5126 2 роки тому

      Did this work well ? I knowe how sloppy it sits around the shaft. Or is it designed to be free moving

    • @klb1956
      @klb1956 2 роки тому

      @@idalieholcomb5126 The slave is supposed to move on the shaft freely. The roll pin and lock type washer is supposed to hold the slave housing in place. IF is comes out then the slave moves in an angle or fore and aft when supposed to be secured. As I mentioned, my roll pin came out just after putting in the trans after a few days and it was back to square one! I figured to tap and screw it in place was a better option.

    • @idalieholcomb5126

      @@klb1956 so it worked better and eliminated it falling into the fingers to the pressure plate ?

    • @klb1956

      The lock washer has internal teeth, like a Hillman washer. This bites on the roll pin holding the slave housing in place.

    I don't know your name or I don't know how to do it but I like your clochet video. I'm Mexican and I look at you. I want to put the clochet. My question is. The clochet liquid is gone and the canvios do not work well and I put it and if they fit well I have to change all the clochet or just the silindro because it does not smell like clochet what masó no more does not enter the changes you think and speak Spanish translate is after the Jeep the Wrangler 1989 I have to knock down all the transmission that you think thanks is but your answer
