- I took a video of The New Rock-afire Explosion performing the song "Macarena" at Odyssey Fun World Naperville on 1/2/16.
The show is in fair/poor condition, but still fun to watch.
Beach Bear does not perform in this song, but I saw him perform in another show this same day. His curtain does not work. Looney bird's head appeared in the window in the other show and performed correctly.
The characters eyelids do not seem to function at all. The characters in the main stage do not rotate as they are supposed to. I did not witness the side stages rotate either. Dook was singing lead on the other show I watched, but he was not visible because the TV stage didn't rotate. Fatz's mask is in terrible condition, and looks like it's being held on by some kind of tape. You can sort of see his mouth lever moving under the mask, but the mask is too saggy so it stays open at all times.
As you'll see/hear in the video, the first time I got up to get a closer look at the show, a loud hissing noise came out of no where. It stopped a few moments later. I do not know what that was about.

Glad these guys are in good hands now, although om a little sad they aren't public like this anymore

The hissing could have been the stage trying to rotate, but the air valve sounds like it has a massive hole in it so the air is leaking right out.
That's what I was thinking when hearing the loud hissing.
They likely just unhooked it. My guess was due to safety concerns of people going on the stage and standing on the rotating parts. Could end in a huge lawsuit.
Many people cry at this maintenance......

Notice how Fatz's mouth does work, but his mask so melted and out of place the jaw isn't even properly placed in the mask.

+Showbiz CEC Fatz's face concerns me a lot more. It's falling off and held on by black duct tape. Just horrible.
I told them to contacts Aaron for parts, but it's fine. If it's falls off you'll just see a hilarious fatz.

The middle stage is good but their masks are bad but the other two are perfect

The reason why their eyelids and eyes dont work is because those parts are powered by servos. The servos are probably cooked.
that or they havent powered on the servo controllers

Unfortunently, they would have to pay a lot. The eyes and eyelids are moved by servos, and they were produced exclusivley by cei. Going ahead and saying the servos are all cooked here, they would have to pay up to cei. It would take a decent amount of money out of theyre budget.
GigglyMan Actually, they were standard off the shelf servos. I helped the guys remove these characters when naperville closed. There were literally boxes of new servos in the control room. They’re just a pain in the ass to replace, and don’t last very long. Most of the maintenance issues here were lack of time or lack of interest.

They're air pressure must be low their movements are really stiff and their eyes are even open half the time and the lip sync is just,nope but it's cool that they can at least move but the air pressure needs to be checked at where ever this is.
Their eyes arent powered by air pressure. They are moved by servos, and those servos are probably cooked.

The NRAE is an example of why you shouldn’t use servos on a constantly running application. You can tell all the servos for the eyelids have burned out before much went wrong with the pneumatics. They look dead
Billy Bob looks like he still has most of the movements functioning in his broken body.

What they should of done they should of rotated the dook/tv stage so it would show dook and not have the tv singing dooks parts

Mabye the could contact Aaron and get his New Rock-Afire explosion, he has it in the same room as the normal Rock-Afire explosion.

2:29 if you look at the edge of fatz mask you can see his jaw moving!!! So I guess his mask is not attached correctly (I thought the jaw wast detached from its cylinder and was hanging)
There’s a theory that he was actually wearing a classic Rockafire mask, which is why it doesn’t fit correctly.

len the retro kid This is a completely different show built after the original. It was harder to maintain, and the owners let it fall into disrepair. It is currently not working.

This is not a retrofit. A retrofit is when you after the fact change something from one thing to another. Munch's make believe band is a retrofit of the rockafire explosion.
Did anyone see that they taped fats mask with black duck tape? I can't believe how poor that is

Most of these issues on them are just to do with air pressure.
I spoke to the guys that bought these bots after this place closed. It was a lot more than air pressure. Bad servos, bad valves, bad cylinders. Air pressure was the least of their problems.
@@timmy530 really! Woah I thought it just looked like an air pressure leak because the lack of movement and when they did move they moved a small amount.

@@timmy530 wow! To be honest the condition of most rock a fires are pretty poor such as billy bobs wonderland which those the hinge get fixed then break within a few months. Didn’t know how much plastic was used neither

Oh dear. That's pretty horrible. Maybe they should get rid of them, it would be interesting to see animatronics like these though. They look like they are sweating in the heat. It's hot where I am right now and I don't like the heat 😥
