Nice & clean now. Thank you for sharing. Just washed my adventure gear from KLIM. Getting ready to tackle Cape Town to Victoria Falls on moto. Cheers from USA 🍺
Just washing my Klim jacket following your instructions.. Having collected hundreds of flies and dirt over the past three years thought it would be a good idea. Many thanks for the clear and easy to understand video!!
Perfect timing for me on this. I have the Klim Lattitude jacket and pants that I've been using for adventuring and touring, but I've decided to limit to touring after a rather nasty day off highway. I've washed using Klim's instructions yet I have some dirt that just won't come out on the pants. Just ordered the Nikwax set to give that ago. Thank you!
Finally, someone that make a test with actual dirty gear. FFS. I have a omega dirty rev'it poseidon 2 that I could never wash properly. Just got myself the new dominator 3 combo with pants. 1500€ and I want to make sure I wash and proof them properly. Also just bought the cleaning products you showed here. Thanks so much. I wil provide feedback here about my super dirty poseidon 2 after this cleaning process.
hey bro. I have a poseidon 2, 5 year old. Super super dirty (white version). I want to keep my new dominator 3 (super pricey) gear pristine. How did it go for you ?
@@franckmalers2299 Hey man, so its been some time and I still have the poseidon 2 which is my go to winter and fall suit, I've acutally washed it I think 3 times now. So my go to protocol for washing and drying is this; I get nikwax techwash (green one) and the purple one which is for extra waterproofing, I think the same ones as in the video. First I take out all the armor and close all the zippers, then I put the suit inside out, I first rinse the washing machine without stuff in it to get rid of any soap residues and also clean the filters etc, then I put the jacket and pants in there, do a synthetic run with the green nikwax (see instructions), so something like hour and a half at 30 degrees with a relatively low centrifuge step at the end of the program, I leave the suit in there and repeat the same run with the purple nikwax, after which I hang it out to dry and most often for me its fully dry within 24 hours, so I ride throughout the entire winter and fall each year and the suit is still fully waterproof, must've been about three and a half to four years of ownership now, I mostly wash it when I switch back to my "summer suit" which now is the Defender GTX 3, hope this helps
@@sebastiaanprins98it helps hehe . But are you satisfyed with the cleaness after wash? My poseidon is 5 years old. I use it everyday (no car driving licence) and it super, super dirty as I live inb the country side and road are always dirty. Lots of farms around. Tried the revi't detergent to no satisfaction even soaking for a day, double wash etc... Very pricey too. I got myself a dominator 3 with pants but it's super super expensive gear. about 1500€ for the combo with the pants and want to keep it clean and pristine. My old poseidon is even starting to leak water around the elbows so it need a reproofing. I actually bought a super beko dryer for this (and normal clothes) so that I can properly dry it withtout having to wait 24 to 48 hours. Found another guy's video (MotoAndy on YT) that used revi't wash for his poseidon. very dissapointed as well. He put a new video in 2024 with a dual product much like nickwax but another brand and man... The results are awesome. He's super happy. I can't wait to wash my old gear tomorrow with it, so that it serves as guinea pig before I do it to my brand new gear.
im washing my klim jacket and pants 4 cups of this nikwax from the bottle and 4 cups of waterproofing all u need Don rinse after waterproofing stop the washer and take it out outside let it dry and drip its best way to do it trust me on that

I use this for all outdoor and biking kit, it works well and I do it exactly as you have done.
Do the same on my 5 year old Halvarssons suit and comes up almost like new every Spring👍
Put my Rukka to the test last weekend in very heavy rain in Scotland and it proved to still be 100% waterproof.
Very nice video! I have the Rev it poseidon 2 gtx and after am going to wash it before the upcoming fall and winter

On the the 2nd run, with the TX Direct, what was the spin speed, please.
very low speed just to dispel surplus water, then let it drip-dry.
I would have given them a simple wash cycle without any Nikwax Tech Wash just to get rid of the excess dirt, followed by the Tech Wash cycle.
