Had my eye on that Lighthouse about 50 times and every time that price puts me off. Friend of mine converted it into a room light and it looks stunning. He put a bigger plug in light fitting and removed the motor so it did not move, and now its a cool light at the side of the TV that lights up the room, way to make Lego a living room feature. Got to have it...but 300 smackers is a bit on the pricey side, and it never ever goes on sale...but I has to have it, and that Daily Bugle...AND THE LION KNIGHTS CASTLE!...And 7 or 8 Bricklink sets this year that aint cheap, ohhh dear... Looks like I might just end up filing for bankruptcy by June.
My #1 is 76440; Triwizard Tournament: The Arrival. Why? Ship, ALL named non main cast figures and most people’s favorite book. This is a slam dunk set for me, will be picking up a copy a month through retirement in December.
Not sure I would leave it that late. Last year I planned on getting a few Creator 3in1 castle, had a Moc planned. They sold out first week of October, 3 month before retirement. So if you really want it...December might be two months too late.
Just grabbed a bunch of sets on sale in store for 40% off at Dubuque IA Blaine’s Farm and Fleet. Even new sets were on sale. I grabbed 6 Dual on Perideas $33 each, 4 Boarding the Tantive IV $33 each, 1 Sarlacc pit $48, and a few other smaller sets.
Darth Vader helmet has been pretty consistently available at a discount over it’s relatively long shelf life. I’m avoiding it…but hey, contrary opinions are always welcome.
Are we sure "Ambush on Mandalore" will be retired at the end of 2025 ? because some battle packs were available for 2 years (and not 1,5 year like this one)
Hey Christo - love the video - does not matter if what is on the list are what I am seeking - it matters that there is a great deal in the what to and what not do watch on investment side of the Lego life. I know the following is not on your list, perhaps others who are Stud City fan club, yet; if you find a deal on the Snow White Cottage - that is one I would like to pick up at a discount.

100% the Bowser set will be extended at least to 2026 … For its price range its selling too well within this theme.

Investing in Lego to afford more Lego. Lego prices need to crash like Beanie Babies did.
