Helpful tip. Best way to judge the distance for beetles is to stand with your back to the tree, and bury a seashell one space away from the tree. This will give you a marker to stand on with the dig spot. So it should be buried sea shell, empty space, tree. Then just slowly creep straight towards the beetle from behind it and swing when you get to the dig spot. Works every time.
i’m currently beetle hunting while watching your video :’) don’t worry i was a little rusty getting back to beetle hunting. i agree with you; the music really took me back. this game has an immense amount of nostalgia and im having a blast replaying it alongside of your videos! my first experience with animal crossing was wild world. i stole it from my brother and didnt really understand the game since i was only 8, but it introduced me to the series and the rest is history!
also i swear the tiger beetles (the sneaky little buggers that run around in the sand) are WAY harder to catch than the expensive beetles!! they always jump into the ocean before i’m able to catch them😭
My first intro to Animal Crossing was ACNH! Though technically I played pocket camp before I played ACNH because I couldn't get the game when I first saw it and wanted it. But once I did around my birthday in 2020, my aunt and I played almost everyday all summer and it is probably some of my fav memories with her especially since she lives in a different state than me! ❤❤❤
The good ol days of Wild World. It was 2008, I had my older brother and a friend to play with and i remember how we spend hours in our towns while traveling and how we stayed up late to experience night time
I watched this Monday night after getting off of work at 8:30 p.m. Festivale was lit up by the northern lights in my New Leaf town and utterly beautiful. The cozy vibes matched this video perfectly. QOTD: City Folk was my first game. It was one of my personal games on the Wii that I shared with my older brother. My original town was called Animalea if I remember right. I then played Wild World and then New Leaf. New Leaf was my introduction to content creation. I used to record my friend and I playing on my iPod touch and upload it for holidays. Those memories mean a lot. I played Pocket Camp for a short while as well and then finally New Horizons, which is my longest played AC game. I’ve continued to play New Horizons since release about once to twice a week. AC just holds such a special place in my heart for how comforting and basic it is. I don’t need to think to play and that’s what makes it THE cozy series for me.
My first exposure to the game was seeing a friend in high school playing either New Leaf or WildWorld and thought it seemed interesting. Later on, the same year, I had just graduated from high school and got New Leaf at Target and needless to say, I was hooked from the start.
I've been behind on the NL videos, but catching up is a nice way to relax! During the kappn songs I was laughing so hard 😂 especially the one where he said he had a cucumber boat lol. I like how you were like, I'm going to be responsible this time and pay off the home loan!
Qotd: i was around 7 or 8 and I had a 3Ds XL, loved that thing and my mom had been looking through some old DS game bins, apparently she found an old one and gave it to me, it had an old save file and I had NO idea how to play but I loved to pretend I was just another villager all the time :)
qotd: my first experience w/ animal crossing was pocket camp. then i got happy home designer and new leaf. when acnh came out, i got it too. i have seen your content for so long now and i think you got me into animal crossing even more!
Festival is based on Mardi Gras, which we celebrate here on the Gulf Coast. Fat Tuesday is scheduled the day before Ash Wednesday, our final blowout before lent.
@@asprinjuice425 Fat Tuesday is Mardi Gras day, the last day before Lent. On Fat Tuesday is most of the parades and parties in New Orleans, Mobile, Biloxi, Pascagoula, and other cities around the Gulf Coast in the United States
@@asprinjuice425 I guess I should add that I haven't been to many parades, balls, or celebrations since college. They tend to get a little rowdy (and sometimes dangerous) and I've found that crowds make me anxious so I stay home and play video games 😆
Martin Gras and Festivale actually come from Carnival, which is celebrated in Europe, especially around Cologne (it is horrible to live in the area, when carnival begins). That is why Festivale is known as Carnival in Europe (or the name in the language of the country. It is for example "Karneval" in German. Rosenmontag (Carnivalmonday) is even an bridge day in Germany. Veilchendienstag (Fat Tuesday for you) is not one.

you’re making me want to pick up new leaf again! I’m already in a huge acnh phase 😊 also qotd : I started back in 2020 in the lockdown, my birthday was right after we went into lockdown and so I got the game as a present and have been hooked since. Such an amazing franchise I went on to play the older games.
Back in like 2016 or something like that my sister's boyfriend gave me his old DS and then in march that year I got animal crossing wild world which got me into the game :D I think either that year or the year after I got myself a 2DS and new leaf after finding your acnl play through!!
