I’ve started doing that again in the last two weeks! Nostalgic and cute!!!!! I’ve gotten my mom involved and we laugh when she misses an emperor butterfly with her net repeatedly. It’s very wholesome. Afterwards we can build some Public Works Projects with the beetle money ❤️ it’s nice catching up with old cozy moments and continuing to clean up my town and dazzle with outdoor decor
been absolutely loving these long gameplay sessions you've been doing recently. I usually watch them when i'm just winding down and doing my night routine, they've been such a source of comfort. Please do more! I also like to play along with you on new leaf while i watch sometimes :))
Late night beetle hunting is the true mark of summer 🙏 Take us back to the WW days, connecting with friends to hunt together! Thanks for the consistent uploads for ALL versions of AC, we love playing them during long work from home days!!
I practically grew up with this animal crossing game. I love ACNH. However, City Folk has and always will have a special place in my heart! Also, I got my first GameCube when I graduated high school. And the first game I got for it was the original Animal Crossing and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I named my town Creek
You really helped me make my decision on wether I should get this game or not, I could not find any other gameplay videos to see what this game had in it so I just wanna thank you for helping me make my decision :)
I’ve been playing city folk on and off since I was a little kid and your videos always remind me to check in on my villagers!! Keep doing what you’re doing ❤
Same here, I was 10 when I got this game. So many memories playing this game throughout childhood and adolescence. I need to get on again since it’s been almost 2 years since I got on. Bet my town is full of weeds.
I admittedly have never played city folk but I'm still surprised with how far away the game let's you plant the palm trees! In particular the ones around the 14:44 mark, considering ac is usually pretty strict about those things (excluding nh)
Bug hunting in summer is really good to net on cash but sometimes I hate it when the good critters appear on trees where you don’t want it to be cause you tend to miss or you scare em off when your not even close to them. The fact also that tarantulas and scorpions can catch you off guard and sometimes scurry off in the water is aggravating too.
Thank you sooo much for these videos. Your cf and ww videos soothe my anxiety so much because of the slow gameplay and music, these long videos are perfect to unwind and nap to, thank u for these consistent uploads even after all these years❤
Just re bought a Wii and this game....so your content is super useful and inspiring. Always loved the late night bug catching too. I played the original AC on GC and ACNH on Switch and New leaf on DS. Love all of them. New subscriber 🦋🐝🪲🐞🦗🪳🕷🦂🦟🪰👍
I don't do anything special to the image, but I am playing on Wii U, which has HDMI outputs. If you're playing on an original Wii, you probably have the lower quality composite cables (or possibly component cables, which are better than composite but not as good as HDMI). You can also check the picture settings on your TV as well (brightness/contrast, etc.).
Is it only me that has this problem? I started playing city folk on my Wii again, but there's no bugs, literally even if I change date there's not even a butterfly during spring or some summer's bug, nothing at all, only bee when you check in the trees, and I don't know what to do or how to fix this
There should be a lot of bugs out in summer, especially in the daytime. But if you're playing during rain, not many show up. If it was raining when you played, that's probably why.
@@ventithebruh7865 I've seen people complain about it especially for city folk that it happens Maybe if you play now that it's summer you may find some In wild world I'm already getting lots of fireflies mosquitoes and got two tarantulas and a scorpion (that got me :p) Also make sure to enter and exit buildings there are more bugs if you do so
The other day I finally got a coconut to appear on my beach, but when I planted it, it died the next day. Is there any way to get another coconut? I've sent 4 letters out with fruit attached to hopefully get another coconut, but will another appear on my beach soon?
Another one will appear, but I'm not sure how soon it will be. Could be weeks, or longer. But when you do get a new one, I recommend cutting down an existing tree (in the southern part of town) and planting the coconut in that spot, to make sure it will grow. A spot that already has a tree is guaranteed not to be a "dead" spot.
You must have just started your town. Keep checking the shop every day, and they should have one soon. I know that must be frustrating in the meantime, though!
Summer bug/fish hunts are the thing I look forward to the most in AC with how valuable so many critters are 😁 Ngl, everytime you walked around with your net, I was sooo concerned about any scorpion attacks (10 minutes in so hopefully nothing bad happens) 🫠
Fortunately I didn't get attacked, but I did have a couple of close calls. That's another reason it helps to walk on the beach though, at least they can't sneak up on you from below.
Definitely one of my favorite activities too. Takes me back to years back, hunting for beetles at the island in NL.

“A wii bit colourblind”, “a free harp, no strings attached”….. it’s like these jokes came straight out of Animal Crossing lo, I love it
Ahhh childhood.

How many villagers do you have so far and What are their names?

Yeah, they can be anywhere in the southernmost row of acres, regardless of how close to the shoreline they are.
@@jvgsjeffahh yes "southern" acres (waterfall there bro that's crazy it's really cool how far they are)
I have so much respect for this man

This is exactly the content I need in my life 😭 miss bug hunting in new leaf
Thanks for sharing it ❤
This is a great bell-making method! But I think selling them during the flea market gives you even more bells! That was my top strategy hehe
The first time I watched JVGSJeff was about 5 or 4 years ago and it was an Animal Crossing Wild World video
thank you jeff
I love your videos... keep doing them please!
Wow… didn’t know city folk hit this hard now… nostalgic
Jeff, I would love to see a tutorial on how to do your dirt path design in city folk
They are patterns you can get from Wendell. You have to give him specific fish to get each piece.
Damn I messed up
Summer at late night is the best season to play in animal crossing because of the rare fishs and rare bugs.
thank you for another one of these!
your channel is a blessing! This makes me want to play City Folk again so bad
Aww, thank you! 😊
love yer videos jeff! wholeheartedly yer the best youtuber ever, keep up the cozy work! been watchin' since 2014 ♥ ♥
Thank you!! 😊
Love your channel keep up the good work

Hey I love love your videos! Also, how do you make the game look so bright and vibrant? When I play my game looks a little darker and not so vibrant.

I’m so happy I can play online on this game again with the wimmfi patch
Jeff the Gamecube is still the best, right? I'd love this version more if not for fuckin grass erosion.
Hello friend, really enjoy these relaxing videos. Just curious, are you playing this on the wii still, or do you use an emulator?
Hi, I'm glad you enjoy the videos! I'm using an actual Wii disc, but playing it on Wii U (thanks to backward compatibility).
@@jvgsjeff I forgot that was possible, thanks. May be time to dust off my own wii u :)
I LOVE this game ❤❤❤
Jeff, I like how you tell us what you’re doing in your videos, otherwise I’d be completely confused and clueless lol
I'll make phrases with you, Antonio 😭❤
😆😆
Hey jeff. What would you do if you lost your town data? Would you start play again or never play again?
If I lost my town, I would start over.
the spawn rates in City Folk seem a lot smaller than in NL, I remember bugs and sharks spawning all the time in the NL island
Well that's what the island was for, in addition to island tours. Comparing it to New Leaf's town spawn rates would be a more fair comparison.
