I know that your students have no problems learning. You did a great job breaking down Heian Nidan. I agree with you on the side snap kick. It doesn't feel natural. The side snap does make more sense when you read in Karate-Do Kyohan that it was originally a snap kick that was aimed low(knees and shins) i e instead of snapping up it snaps down. Also when you mentioned about the front foot sliding back and you do an uchi uke I read in Kyohan that a person has reached out and grabbed you with one hand at your shoulder or neck. You use the uchi uke as an overhook armlock and shift the front foot back to use your whole body to try to dislocate the elbow. I'm not sure if you heard of this application. Thanks for your great work as always.
Good stuff Sensei, thanks! That helped me learn Heian Nidan from scratch. Will need lots of practice and repetition on this one, but looking forward to the next ones!
Please do a breakdown of Heian Yondon. Maybe you can place extra emphasis on the area where you shift from side snap kick then elbow to another side snap kick and elbow. Keep up the great work.

It's a very old belt. The black has worn off.
