    I have knitting needles from my Nan. I always have to convert needle sizes. Is 2.25 an old 13 size or do I have that wrong?

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  11 місяців тому

      Yes that is absolutely right. There are different systems and the metric 2.25 should be the UK13 and US1. Happy making 🧡

    Amazing! One question, how do you secure the yarn at the top of the hat after you cut and thread it?

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  13 днів тому

      You can secure the yarn at the top and weave in the ends there, as you will add a Pom Pom anyway, it should cover everything ❤️

    Absolutely gorgeous and so easy to make! I've been on UA-cam all day trying to find an easy yet cute knitted- hat to make for my granddaughter, and just as I was about to put my mobile away in disappointment, your video appeared on my screen. You can't imagine how elated I am. I've already knitted the cardigan - tomorrow I'll be able to knit the hat🤗 Oh, how many stitches would I need for 6-9 months and how would the decrease work🤔 Thanks so much for your very enjoyable and detailed video! I take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy & Blessed New Year!

      Dear Emma! I made the hat as said in my previous message, and it came out fabulous. The colours of the yarn are so beautiful, and I also added a flower made of yarn with a pearl in the centre. BUT, the size of the hat was too small - it alligned with the top of her ears😢 So, I downloaded your chart with the link given, and guess what... I'm about to make another one!

    Great pattern I love it …just what I wanted except I made it slightly smaller for a new born I casted on 4 less stitches and didn’t do the three rows in between the decreasing rows just the purl row…

    Hi, need a little help from you ? When beginning the 1st Decrease row are you suppose to do 3 rows of pearl,knit,pearl and then begin the second decrease row Pearl,knit,pearl again?

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  Рік тому

      Hey there! After the 1st decrease row you would need to knit in stockinette stitch as established in previous rounds :) Happy making!🥰❤️

    Can i ask why you use bigger needles for body of the hat as opposed to the rib section?

    • @cantfiteveryheart
      @cantfiteveryheart Рік тому +1

      Probably because she wants the ribbed part to be as stretchy as possible, and the rest of it can be a tighter knit. Usually if you know you’re a tighter knitter, you work different size needles for things.

    If I use a #1 size yarn, is it still 74 cast on stitches or should I cast more? Thank you so much for the video!

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  Рік тому +1

      It all depends on your gauge. It is always worth checking your tension before starting a project, as different materials (needles/yarn) plus your own very personal tension will influence the end result and measurements. We have an article on that topic on our website, which might be helpful: www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/c/article/knitting-tension-for-beginners
      Happy making!🥰❤️

      i agree, i've had to restart it 4x, the volume is low, and talk too fast and they it skips right next to another row too fast..ive never had to rewind a video so many times lol
      But all and all im almost finished.
      Hopefully this was a year ago maybe the other videos are better. Instructions are good but needs a little more patience for those just starting.

    • @lovecraftscom

    How many stitches if the baby is 9-12 months? Any other variances on process? Thank you 😍😍😍

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  Рік тому +1

      The pattern offers instructions for the sizes: 0 - 3/3 - 6/6 - 12/ 12 - 18 /18 - 24 months. So for the 6-12 months size you would need to cast on 86 stitches :) If you click on the link in our caption, you can find the entire pattern with all the details you need! Let us know, if you have any more questions. Happy making🥰❤️
