These guys saying she did because she would have lost are idiots. I personally know Cosima and she pulled out because she would have destroyed her throat if she kept on singing. The nodes on her throat would have developed into cancer. It was the producers who wanted her to pull out that way and she was not happy about that because she genuinely cared for Shannon and Guy.
I always thought it was ridiculous that they put Guy through before announcing that Cosima was leaving the show. How fair is that to Shannon knowing he might have possibly been going home that week?
She was a definite winner if she hadn't left. It's such a shame, because she's faded into the background. If she had been the winner, she would have been huge! Just look at Guy!!!
