Drag was not known to the general public, only in the gay club community. Being trans was unheard of. She handled things so well at the time and for the time we were all living in. Adore learned to sew, showed the drive to be better and applied everything she could to better herself. Striving to be better, pulled out more than one continuous look unlike Courtney. It's not drag on a beauty scale, it's drag that is "beauty" inspired. It's camp and polished which to some might seem to lack "roughness" but that again is subjective. And no Adore did not learn to sew. She did her first sewing with Bianca's help and that was it. I think you're letting Courtney's behind the scenes character (which I agree was simple) influence what she did on stage and in her work. As for whose voice is more appealing. That's subjective. One is using her head voice and the other her chest voice. Chest voice can sound shaky and rough and head voice can sound shrieky. Depends on what the other person prefers.

Courtney was barely a drag queen, more of a convincing cross dresser with vocal talent and nothing else to offer. She was too cocky due to previous success.
Adore learned to sew, showed the drive to be better and applied everything she could to better herself. Striving to be better, pulled out more than one continuous look unlike Courtney. Adore was humorous and could actually in my opinion out-sing Courtney easily. Along with the fact Adore could rap, dance and continue to be exceedingly humorous.
iTeacupPanda lol you're an idiot. Adore was a hilariously awful fun-sucking trainwreck. You have only seen drag in RuPaul's show. Courtney represents drag on a much larger scale, and definitely what I personally think of when I hear the word "drag".

Courtney relies on bikinis and simplistic, basic make-up skills repeating the same thing with very little variation. She has a sense of humor, but isn't funny in the least. Her voice is annoying and sounds quite narrow. She represents drag on a beauty scale, not much else.
Also, Adore was far from fun-sucking. A train wreck? That is an opinion. However lets remember, Adore is not only quite a few years... 7 to be exact. Yet, Adore has a thicker - more appealing voice ( which I wish would have been showcased in her music. ) ----- As well as the ability to pull out a funny. She is quirky, relatable , goofy and exceedingly charming.
There are a lot of people who should have gone further than Courtney. Ben should have been top 3 but, obviously won Miss Congeniality. Regardless, you want drag? Lady Bunny all day - everyday.
iTeacupPanda She in no way relied on looks. Her persona was "pageant queen" but the concepts for her dresses where the most impressive and at the very least fun of the season. A present reveal, a top-down bed, moving angel wings, a surrealist tux. That's not the same repeated thing nor is it relying on looks. It's not drag on a beauty scale, it's drag that is "beauty" inspired. It's camp and polished which to some might seem to lack "roughness" but that again is subjective.
And no Adore did not learn to sew. She did her first sewing with Bianca's help and that was it. I think you're letting Courtney's behind the scenes character (which I agree was simple) influence what she did on stage and in her work.
As for whose voice is more appealing. That's subjective. One is using her head voice and the other her chest voice. Chest voice can sound shaky and rough and head voice can sound shrieky. Depends on what the other person prefers.

I really, really enjoy her akward silly winks and tongue stick-outs. She used them in communicative ways, almost the way some people (Yvie Oddly, Jinkx Monsoon) punctuate their sentences with laughs.
