That’s probably how Chaos Elfilis felt; being used as a “Tourist Attraction” and a “Research Experiment” rather than treated like a living being… No wonder the words “And Here We Are…”, “Welcome visitors!”, “ID-F86!” Drove it into a spiral of madness… Granted, ID-F87 (Elfilin, the little one) is the friendly part; the good half… Fecto Elflis was ALWAYS insane; running rampant on galaxies and such until Lab Discoveria contained it.
Something about the "And, here we are" invoked a genuine sense of fear in me when I reached Chaos Elfilis' next phase. It felt like I had reached a point of no return, and was forced to either fight this otherworldly creature or die trying
And the reverb goes away too. Almost as if it's an echo at first, _and then appear right behind you and say the line at point blank_ Nicely unsettling, I'll say.
The moment when V̶o̶i̶d̶ Chaos Elfilis appears is so great. You can sense all the hate it feels. It was killed, absorbed by a parasitic butterfly and had its new body destroyed, makes sense it would be angry with Kirby.
I just wish the moment it loads its Health Bar, the name completly dissapears, so adds another fear factor on having No Idea what are we fighting with, until it clicks on us. Void exists in all dimentions.
Ngl it makes even more sense for it too be angry at kirby if you fight them with the morpho-knight sword because you're literally fighting them with the same power they have and wearing the armor of the same butterfly that nearly killed them
The first song in Kirby history that by song alone has brought me to tears. You can feel the heroic disposition in the bass and backbeat. The brass blasting a triumphant melody through the sky. The guitar tearing the very fabric of space bringing forth a chorus of two realities crying out, SCREAMING out, giving their all for Kirby to save them. This was the PERFECT final boss theme, and that statement alone feels like I'm underselling it.
That's one of my favorite things from Kirby, it's not a licensed nintendo game but it counts as one, and even like that it's one of a very little nintendo exclusive game series that manages to get a 13+ rating by how horrific stories these games can have lmao
I just made it to this guy tonight. I accidentally spat Morpho Knight Sword out at Chaos Forgo Dedede, so I had to use Buzz Saw Cutter against Forgo Leon, Morpho Knight, and this guy. I brought him to punch mode, died, and continued, and they gave me Space Ranger. I managed to beat the first form with Space Ranger and a sliver of HP. The black hole attack promptly killed me and I didn’t have enough Star Coins to continue.
Actually, it would be cool (and terrifying) if, the more you damage that initial phase, the audio slowly gets replaced by a similar audio track, only this time it’s flipped on its head. Instead of the normal speech, it’s filled with panicked screams and voice clips like “There it is! RUN!!” Or “PLANETARY DEFENSES ACTIVE”
I swear i heard a walkie talkie voice go like "Automatic break in connectiom" or something... like Chaos elfilis (basically Parallel Elfilis) escaped and caused disaster. Also in the universe where you fight Chaos, that universes kirby either died or never left popstar.
Just so you know chaos elfilis and fecto forgo/elfilis are the same being and for a few seconds after you beat morpho knight you can see the silloet of elfilis quickly teleporting away (probably to the arena where you fight him)
