It's re-enforcing the idea that we have to first think of the weather, atmospheric conditions, and then chose the subject that can be photographed well under the given conditions. We accommodate to mother nature, not vice versa. TX Mads!
The high hopes for the final photo were maybe a bit off. The sound of the smile in your voice when commenting on the snow shower however is just priceless!! Apart from the great moody shots, it just made me smile! Great video, great photos as always Mads!! I hope to visit the Faroes myself one day. These views are incredible!
Thanks Mads! Love all the content and photos. But... where are the dancing unicorns? Why did you give up looking for them? Thanks to you I have ventured out with my camera in "bad" weather to look for the good. I always learn so much from your videos, ebooks and course.
This location, in these conditions, would also work well in monochrome. The Ansel Adams treatment! Excellent images, and great subject matter and friends. Winning!
Love the video and stunning pictures Mads ! When life gives you lemons, make lemonade ;) I like the reflection shot in the beginning @2:40 and the photo on Kalsoy with the sun @ 15:00. Great duo you and Nick ! Thanks Mads !!!!
Mads, great that you paired up with Nick from the Northwest US! Now the two of you have to do a set in the Mojave Desert but don't do the Valley of Fire. It is just too busy there and the VOF is in my backyard and it is hard to stay away from it but once you get there, it's just hard to compose because way too busy and it's hard to get tight. Tell Nick to get himself out for more You Tube videos. His big thing is he is such a great teacher as you are Mads and I did buy your composition eBooks. Great photos
You are always so positive and upbeat, no matter what conditions you encounter. Your pictures were beautiful and inspirational. It was great to see Nick Page too.
I like how the mountain is more prominent and clear in the reflection in the still pool than it is in the top half of the image. The low angle moving water photos with the mountains in the background give an interesting sense of scale between the foreground and background. I liked the HDR panorama better than the moody shot and the double rainbow shot was very cool. My only recent double rainbow shot was at 4AM in the summer of 2021, I live above the arctic circle, so we have 60 days of 24 hrs a day sunlight.
Again thanks for sharing your experiences & pics... such a great location & results certainly captured the mood... always enjoy your videos and comments from the other side of the world... cheers from Australia 😀
Great Video in a great location. I really like the first shot with the reflection of the mountain, but also the panoramic shots. But i cannot deceide which i like more, both are wunderbar ✌️
WoW!! what beauty to capture there. The experience itself must have been awesome... a picture can only capture a morsel of the lived experience. Great commentary on your video-making Mads
What a great collection of images Mads, the mood of the Faroes is encapsulated beautifully in these images. A great demonstration of working the scene to its optimum with the weather conditions
Incredible weather (read nasty) and you did a nice positive video. Glad to see you and Nick are doing this workshop together. The photos you showed in the video turned out quite nice. You showed the epic nature of the Faroes, Mads. You make it attractive to visit the Faroes. It really helped to see some of the before and after images.
Hi Mads, the first photo, with You inside, I prefer horizontal composition cuting on the midle of the mountain in the background and leaving your reflect in the foreground following the rocks where You are standing. Nice job You are doing as usual. Regards fron the chilean Patagonia
Way to make the best of the conditions you’re in! Of course, it always helps to be located in one of the most photogenic locations on Earth. 😉 Well done!!
What a photographer dream location, always amazed by the beauty of the Faroes, it's sure is in my bucket list to go one day, great content again, too bad Nick doesn't make anymore videos !!!
Another great video Mads! Photography in more recent times for me has been about embracing the conditions gifted to us and not setting expectations about the kind of conditions you want to get, and these photos show that perfectly! I've been having a blast with you and Nick in the Faroes! Keep up the great work!
Mads, thanks for sharing such epic locations! The weather is such a bonus for your captures. Through your photo's I get to see places I will never get to, and I thank you for sharing your work!!!!!
Some really nice shots and I guess one important thing you are raising in the viewer’s mind is adaptability - no matter what the conditions, work to find the good shots.
In an epic landscape one can make epic photo's. They look beautiful.
Photobomb at 8:09 LOL -- the Faroes are another of my growing list of bucket list locations.
It's re-enforcing the idea that we have to first think of the weather, atmospheric conditions, and then chose the subject that can be photographed well under the given conditions. We accommodate to mother nature, not vice versa. TX Mads!

Thanks Mads. I have a bit of an opposite problem with too much sun and flat blue skies, but this helps me think about some solutions to that problem.
That's great to hear :)
It's good to see Nick, I've been worried about him, he's been so quiet.

Thanks Mads, very good video on how to use poor weather to your advantage.
Great photos. Looks like my local weather but without the mountains and sea stacks!
This video is perfect for today as this storm batters us up in Shetland. Love these tutorials 👏🏼
I could have done with this last week, we are having a much easier time in Orkney today 👍🏻
