  • IndoSoul by Karthick Iyer performs "Manavyalakim."
The concert was called "Karthick Iyer Live!" and held at Apex Friendship High School. Metronome Studios presented “Karthick Iyer Live!” as their premier event. Through this concert, Metronome Studios shared a part of Indian culture with the greater North Carolina population in addition to the Indian Diaspora.
An evening of soulful violin renditions and contemporary Indian music. An electric violin, a mridangam, an acoustic guitar, bass and drums along with vocals form the core of the band, IndoSoul by Karthick Iyer. The band performed live numbers from their IndoSoul album in Apex on August 12th, 2016 to an audience of 350.
With “Karthick Iyer Live!,” Metronome Studios and Vibha Raleigh-Durham joined together to make a positive impact on the lives of under-privileged children.
    Proceeds benefited Vibha Raleigh-Durham.
    About Karthick Iyer:
Karthick Iyer has over 20 years of classical Carnatic experience, starting from the age of 8, captivating audiences with his soulful voice and emotion-led violin pieces. His creative fluency and technical assurance erase boundaries and move beyond the confines of individual genres.
Seeking to broaden his horizons, he started playing in the Indian film industry, with AR Rahman, Imman, Devi Sri Prasad and other notable music directors. He composed a song for a Bollywood movie along the way, as well as jingles for multiple TV ads.
His band, Karthick Iyer Live, is a collaboration of diverse musicians that make contemporary, soulful Indian music which, as Karthick explains, “takes Indian music to the world and brings the world to Indian music.” An electric violin, a mridangam, an acoustic guitar, bass and drums along with vocals form the core of the band. Often seen collaborating with diverse musicians, the band breaks down superficial barriers between genres, instruments, cultures, and languages to bring out the deep commonalities that define IndoSoul.

Ever since we started our journey four years ago, we have developed a huge following on youtube and soundcloud with listeners from all around the world. The original was from st thyagaraja. This is remix but nevertheless beautiful. It's funny they didn't give credits to it in the video description or maybe I missed seeing it.

I did not feel any divinity in it. It was just an acoustical noise. You are all very talented artists with vast knowledge of India's rich classical musical traditions. Yet not showcasing it on foreign soil. People respect originality, not the poor imitation.

what makes me sad is, this guy doesnt know what its called. its not "manavyala kim".. thats not some korean song. its "manavi alakincharadate". be responsible. when you touring and doing master pieces, atleast know what it means and how to pronounce it. its in telugu, so performers should know what it means.. not just the notes and mixing pop+catnatic. i enjoyed it.. but felt bad after he uttered those last words, where he messedup the words.

you are way way far too below while comparing the song rendered by Prince Rama Varma (Parts i.II) Wake up nad listen to him and try to emulate him; My Sister my mother sang this much better than you. My cousin B.S.Loknath ,Director of photography and was the Cameraman for 25 of K.Balachanders movies was an accomplished Violinist.
