Ma’am I am actually a CA student, completed my LLB from College where we use to give exams only but meanwhile during my CA internship I got exposure to Income tax Litigation including appeals for certain sections in IT ACT, Demonetisation notices and I Loved it as well ……..But Whenever I think of law, one of the Hurdle is, in order to get into courts “I have to have to gain experience under Senior Advocates which takes another 2-3 years of mine “
As well I am good at public Speaking and Debates as well
Dii i have few qs:
1) Can we do internship during my 3rd or 4th yr of my 5yr ba llb program in corporate and litigation both?Like i want to see in practical where can i do most so are we allowed to do in both?
2) If I choose corporate law after 5yr,then can i go for judicial exams?If yes then when?
3) And being corporate lawyer,are we allowed to practice or go for any case in court?Am totally confused
4)And dii,how's the journey after changing from corporate to litigation?
1. Yes you can do internship in 3rd year (corporate) and in 4th year (litigation) or vice versa
2.yes you can write judicial exam whenever you want even after 1st days as corporate lawyer
3. No you cannot practice in court untill you have certificate of practice from BCI and For certificate of practice you have to write AIBE exam
4.To be a litigation lawyer just Get Certificate of practice from BCI and you are a litigator now

I am also hesitant about the specialisation of llm i want to go through, and i have a question in my mind. Which one do you think is the most important? Great university with less popular(or desirable) field or average university with a more desirable field? Is field or the university matters more?

Okay sure but I don't think the case has been finally decided. As far as I know, BCI placed on record some affidavit yesterday where they said you have to give BCI again if you took up a non law job and you continued it for 5 years

One year LLM no longer exists so we have uniformity now

Ab initio all master degrees are of 2 years. However the subject Law has both options i.e., 2year or 1year. So it means individuals have the option to choose between 2year and 1year LL.M. till date the notification of BCI related to compulsory 2year LL.M has not come into effect. So, it means this year also, one can go for 1 year LLM. Further, talking about purpose of making 1 year LL.M is that, In foreign Law colleges they have 1 year LL.M so same is recommended in year 2012 to implement in Indian law Colleges too. The basis reason is that in 5 year or 3 year UG degree, individuals get the opportunity, and learning of almost every aspect of Law subjects. So, it is not important to teach such law subjects again and again. That's why LL.M is only for developing or learning research skills in the field of Law.

1)If i will pursue for 1 year LLM in 2022 will it not be valid for lifetime as BCI has abolish this 1 year LLM ?

But the senerio in mumbai university is different here we can't decide our specialization when we're alloted the college there it's already listed the name of the student and their specialization so we don't have a choose for specialization so what should we do in this situation?

For judicary preparation, spealisation doesn't matter a lot. You can go ahead as per your interest
