Mi 11 Ultra -Global - Full Review - A real camera beast! [Xiaomify]

This is it; the Mi 11 Ultra! -A real camera beast, which I have just looked at a few days ago, but how is the global version of this phone after trying it for over 10 days now? Let's find out!
Xiaomi has outdone themselves with this phone. Sure it’s got that same Snapdragon 888, the same display, the same front-facing camera, and the same Harman Kardon speakers as on the Mi 11… But there’s more on the Ultra.
At first, I was surprised it didn’t have the same 108-megapixel main camera but instead had a 50-megapixel main camera. But as it turns out the sharpness is better on the Mi 11 Ultra, and the two additional 48 megapixel lenses are really great to have. Finally, we have a much higher resolution ultra-wide angle lens. That is super nice to have. But even better is the 48-megapixel telephoto lens. This lens has such an incredible focal length, giving you almost DSLR-like results.
The photos I have taken with the ultra, both during the day and at night, really blow so many phones completely away. Especially the 5x telephoto lens has given me truly amazing results. -The squeeze, the field of view, and the feeling of depth is unlike anything I have seen on a phone before.
The video on the ultra is amazing as well. I have done a lot of 8K shoots, as all 3 lenses shoot in 8K. But that’s where I made a misjudgment in my photo and video review… As it turns out the video stabilization at night is incredible when using the 4K resolution. The weird thing is that there is no difference in a crop of field-of-view between the 8K and 4K video.
So I made the wrong call in saying that the night videos have pretty bad stabilization, as in 4K it's really really good.
The other notable feature on the Mi 11 ultra is sure that 1.1” rear display. At first, it might look a little bit of a gimmick, but as it gives you a live view of the camera when taking selfie photos, it is actually quite cool. Sure, I would have loved for it to do the same with 50megapixel photos and especially with video, but perhaps that is just a firmware update away. (Maybe?)
The little display is also quite nice to see time, battery and if there’s a new notification as well, and when playing music it will allow you to pause or skip a song from there as well. And why not!
So the Mi 11 ultra surely has a lot of similar features when comparing it to the Mi 11, but that camera… That camera makes it 100% worth it to consider getting the Mi 11 Ultra over the ‘regular’ Mi 11…

Have you seen the video from the UA-camr "SuperSaf"? According to its reviews, Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra loses to Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. As for the camera. Who should you trust now?
@@HEKPOMAHT87 his mi 11 ultra seems to have some issues. There are many other reviews of mi 11 ultra with original pictures and only Supersaf night pictures has yellow tint. This is strange.

Great review. I'm dying to see some 4K 60p video on log mode. Shoot it in raw and at night on a gimbal, please! This is the first Android phone with a 1/1.2 sensor with this feature set.

@@PSYCHOV3N0M you're the clown, they test the cameras in set conditions and publish the test shots with the exif data intact at 1:1 scale so you can pixel peep and compare the results yourself.

What keeps me from buying is the frequency of version increases. I'm pretty sure that when I arrive in China a year ago, the most current Xiaomi phone was 8. But The first time I watched one of your videos, it was about 9, then not much later the 10 came out. Then I almost considered buying the 11, but before I could decide, 11 Pro and 11 Ultra came out.
At 7k+ RMB, I really don't want to be sad 3 months later because X+1 goes to market, and another 3 months after that because the Pro or Ultra versions are so much better (or maybe not, Xiaomi is a bit strange as their perfect phone would often be a mix of the standard, pro and ultra features).
But I really enjoy the camera focused reviews you do. That's what counts for at least 50% of purchase decisions.
Don't forget to talk about that ceiling lamp ;-)
I hope they add that rear screen to support other camera modes... Would be handy to vlog...

It's so hard to believe that this kinda phone exist and we are still stuck ok buying iphones (no offense) just how powerful and advanced these things are!

I really like it. But the Fold looks like it's going to be fascinating too! Not sure I like the always on second screen as I lay my phone face down as a quick way of setting it to 'do not disturb' but sure it can be tweaked! I'm still happy with my mi9t Pro but would be interested to see what price this is when it does ship here in the UK

This is the 1st smart phone in YEARS that im actually really excited about and absolutely willing to pay full price for when the international version release....whenever that is. The only negative is that i wish xiaomi transferred the 120 watt charging from the 10 ultra but 67 is still very very good
I think that global release is probably going to be soon. (I was using a pre-release version of the global version)
And in terms of the charging speed, 67 is probably even better. -As 120 might be a bit harsh on battery performance over time. And the charging speed is still incredibly fast with 67 watts
Have you tried the front cam for video calling? That's my issue with xiaomi phones
The display-to-edge bezel part triggers me so hard.
On a 1000€+ phone this should be absolutely perfect all around the phone, or at least at the top with a very small chin at the bottom.

That's because it looks like they don't perform equal (for there MP rate) on the stock app.

Love the camera samples and great to hear that night time video improved so much from switching from 8k to 4k. This phone is just gorgeous. I just wish Android manufacturers figure out how to smoothly zoom in and out on the camera app like iPhone.
Samsung is pretty good at this. While my iPhone X is smoother, my S20+ has 3 lenses compared to the 2 on my iPhone. I think the lens switching animation is smoother on the S21 models than last year Samsung phones. I've also seen Oppo phones do this on reviews though I haven't used them personally.
