- Heavy freezing rain made roads and streets slick and dangerous and knocked out power lines, but it also looks amazing!
It's almost impossible to walk around, and tree branches are falling everywhere.

I am in Scarborough, lots of houses with no power, I had inlaws and family members at my house to keep warm, come and see my video. 260,000 houses with out power in just the Toronto area. It was beautiful but dealdy
Love of Pets twas 1 power outage night before chrismas
i remember when that happened lol it was so dangerous. i saw a tree branch fall so close to my house but we were luckily safe. and our whole area of town houses went out of electricity.

TCGames
moreover, the photos are very well taken!! ;)
Beautiful. I made some pictures myself.
That's great! It is quiet a rare event, definitely worth taking pictures of.
Sorry for all you guys who had to suffer. There was no freezing rain where I was, but my basement almost flooded.
It is very pretty out. Im in mid michigan. We were lucky and never lost power but a lot have. I drove on the eway today for about 30 miles going south. Once I started counting we seen over 50 power company trucks coming to my area. I know in total there had to been over 100 it was a pleasant site.
Yeah, it is quiet nice looking, especially since the sun is out now. Luckily we did not lose power either, but many people on my street did. Happy holidays :)!
Nice!!
AND AT LAST I SEE THAT LIGHT!!!
I was 7 when this happened we had to eat pizza and get some thim horton I’ll always remember this ice
its even in scarbrough my car was frozen to death. a police came to my neighbourhood and blocked it because sticks and little trees were falling:( electricity is gone:(
they said it was worse the icestorm 98?this looks like a normal freezing rain with branches on the ground .I heard a few transformers over heated n popped, were is all the twisted hydro towers? n broken hydro posts? this storm dint impress me ,98 storm did...
Its hard to have a good Christmas if your house is 5 degrees minus right?
Hey Wilton, I bet it is. I hope you get your power back soon!
Our power went out on Sun @ 3:09pm and returned just this (Wed) morning at about 10:37am; 3 nights we slept in multiple layers through sub-zero temperatures, dined (on canned foods) by candlelight, moved by flashlight, relied on the local McDonald's for our daily caffeine fix (we NEVER go there otherwise), passed the evenings watching the Fast & Furious flicks on laptops...until batteries in each laptop lost their charge. Reading by a flickering candlelight is not ideal.....
few years ago i experienced this ice shit in budapest, like you say it looks cool but sucks :D i hope you all enjoy the christmas at least :)
I had no power yesterday for like 11 hours because of this storm
Hey Hannah, that's quiet the power outage. I'm glad you got it back now. Some people still don't have power and may not get it until Wednesday.
North of buffalo got hit hard too.
the song should have been Frozen do you want to build a snowman. or let it go.
I would pick Let it go as it is unanimously fitting
Tangled!!
It is hilarious to read some of the comments on the CBC about this storm. Some people are angry that the Prime Minister has not visited Toronto and also blaming climate change. It is not the first ice storm/winter storm and major power outage a part of Canada has seen. Besides regular power outages at times, I have been through 4 major storms with power outages in my life...all of them days waiting for the power to come back on. It is also ridiculous for some Torontonians to be angry at the PM...no PM visits every major storm area...plus this is not a disaster of major proportions like many are saying. Yes bad, but not the end of the world and no major loss of life....some real Canadians have become weak and many immigrants-hyphenated citizens don't have a clue.
I probably passed by ur house 10000 times
Thank god we have power
Hey Gabriella, I know what you mean. I feel sorry for those who have had to suffer long hours of power outage.
Well time to contact a professional Arborist !
pretty and dangerous
You got it right
Great video.. I'm in a Scarborough highrise. Although my building luckily was not affected aside from a couple of quick flashes of outage, I have literally spent the entire night when this occurred watching transformers exploding across the entire city. I counted roughly 20-30 transformers exploding and lighting up the entire sky thoughout the night. Stay safe everyone!
Thanks for watching Chad :)! Stay safe!
Just got my power after 6 days of madness
3 days for me
now Toronto is rewend
Would look much better 1 minute after the sun comes out!
You are absolutely right. I took some pics when it became brighter and it looked quiet amazing.

I'm sorry to hear that Eliza. It seems that the storm came at the worst time possible. Stay safe, and I hope your Christmas goes well regardless of the situation. Take care :)!
