They animated Gigi with something special. She’s captivating and steals all the scenes she’s in. Great V/O work as well
Agreed. And Great V/O work in multiple languages. Japanese is by far the most impressive since all these actors are legendary, but the English Voice Work is also pretty solid. I'll recommend this show since tons of Gundam shows were recently added to Netflix and regardless of dialogue preference, it'll be a good watch.
Just make them married, lol. The heroine from the last movie died, so he needs a new one like Gigi.

at 1:08 when hathaway realize that gigi can see through lies and the camera focusses to the security guards is a really nice detail, and theres alot of small details in the movie. this is one of the best gundam movie.

Gigi is the scariest girl in anime history to me. nothing's scarier to a man than a girl with scary beauty, intellect , and playfulness that you can't understand or figure out her intentions

I was taken aback by how enchanting Gigi Andalucia was in this film. I couldn't take my eyes off her. Such a peculiar character matched with such beautiful animation.
For someone who is not into mecha genre, Gundam Hathaway is surprisingly good. The reason i watch this is because Sawano Hiroyuki did the OST. Damn the story, animation and OST are perfection in this movie. Ono Kensho did an amazing job as Hathaway.
You'd probably like gundam unicorn and narrative as well, OST also by sawano. In fact id say his work in unicorn is definitely one of his best.

@@ahisaf3792 Yeah the UC Timeline , I suggest watching it in order to understand everything , also , I recommend Gundam Thunderbolt and Gundam Origin if you have problem with the animation or the story of the first Gundam series .
@@ahisaf3792 yup, Unicorn is a decent starting point if you're starting the dive into gundam. There's some things that'll go over your head but it shouldn't affect your enjoyment. I started with unicorn, watched narrative then I went to gundam: the origin which is a prequel to OG gundam. From there I worked chronologically and it worked out pretty good. This universe of mainline gundam is called the Universal Century timeline. With hathaway taking place in UC 0105
It may seem a bit daunting but don't stress about it. If you want full enjoyment for hathaway I recommend working your way to Char's counterattack, which hathaway is functionally a sequel to.
Damn. Natural dialogue and fluid animation make this a must-watch. Plus I've heard this movie throws the usual tropes out the window. (Especially when it comes to Char and Hathaways interactions with Gigi). It's a trilogy that will take awhile to make entirely, so I have plenty of time to catch up on the complementary material that was recently added to Netflix. The Original Gundam series, Char's Counterattack, and Gundam: Origin of the Red Comet (A TV series remake of the 6 Gundam: The Origin OVAs).

Sawano Hiroyuki at his finest. He doesn't do every track and not all of the tracks are mixed well with the audio (some songs play over dialogue a bit), it's still a fantastic score. Definitely up there with his previous work.
I'm surprised. This movie was actually pretty good. More and faster.

This movie its like DieHard whith Studios Glibhi, so amazing and the war, so brutal.
Hathaway's Flash is the very proof that everything that happened in Unicorn didn't matter to the entire UC continuity at all.
Hathaway's flash was created before Unicorn so it makes sense why it isn't affected by it.
@@ericbot924 yeah, the novels came out in late 80s after CCA movie. Ofc by Tomino Himself. Unicorn novel is by other famous writer in japan
But that's just the whole point of the Universal Century. Humanity not capable of learning from past mistakes, continuing the cycle of war and corruption over and over again.
Outside Sinanju mobile suit design, Unicorn story sucks. But not related to timeline is kinda norm in UC as gundam f91, gundam victory and g-savior are also not related to each other despite being on the same timeline.
Do not associate Mineva and Banagher space adventures with the filthy EFF

I'm not a fan of dub. But this scene sells the character development between Hathaway and Gigi . Beautiful animation. The way they made characters stand out in this airport looks amazing. Well written story.

Es un derroche de calidad y detalle, tanto en animación como en sonido. Yo soy más fan de Macross que de Gundam, salvo todo lo que es U.C. pero es que esta movie es sencillamente perfecta. El ataque nocturno liderado por Gawman, eso es display of animation quality. El diseño de Gigi, el como se mueve, lo que dice, como lo dice, Noa, su conflicto interno d esaber que hace mal, pero por un bien,.. sres hay que disfrutar del recorrido porque el final del viaje ..... Me pregunto si Haruhiko mikimoto hubiese diseñado los personajes para esta movie tal cual las novelas por allá elos 80s, como hubiese quedado, mejor que los diseños de Kabaneri, y eso ta es decir bastante. -El audio mas lo que dicen en español , no sé.. - Idioma original con subs. , no offense.

Excelente!, faltaron más peleas y algo relajada la trama, pero muy buena. Único punto en contra en el doblaje: en vez de decirles "mobile suits", usan la traducción literal, suena demasiado forzado decirles "trajes móviles".
En la novela solo estan esas 2 peleas.

@@Paolo_A Not really in terms of story. I think it takes a longer time for the animation and editing parts, especially of the high quality that goes into these projects. Considering the first film likely started production sometime in 2017 and would take ~3 years to produce (not counting the COVID delay they probably used to fix up some stuff)

The german dub is annoyingly close to being realy good, but just misses the mark. The voice actors are great, but the dialogue is translated ackwardly and stilted at times.
The english dub however is on a whole nother level - basically perfect in every aspect.

Where terrorism is executed by a corrupt goverment. and once the world around the close friend of that terrorist despite his friend working in the corrupt goverment, that friend finally understand what they are fighting for resulting for leaving the earth federation. Even bright noa resulted leaving the EF as soon than he planned. Kenneth sleg is following hathaway's steps and finish what his rival started.
