The "Diabolic Wars" is one of the books by St. HH Pope Shenouda III. He also touches on some of this in his series, "So Many Years with the Problems of People." Excellent podcast episode by Coptic Orthodox Answers.

It is good to talk openly and soberly (no sensationalism ) about the reality of Angels, Demons, and Spiritual Warfare and navigating the unseen realm, because it's all real and it affects us all directly (although many try to pretend that the unseen realm is not real.) This conversation should wake people up . Also, it's important to know that we don't need to be afraid of the demons IF we are in Christ . Jesus Christ has conquered the demons. (but if you are not in Christ now , then flee to him. He is waiting to take you into his life and under his protection.) Fr. Andrew's book 'The Lord of Spirits' (and the podcast of the same name) is well worth reading. Also his book 'Arise O God: The Gospel of Christ’s Defeat of Demons, Sin, and Death' is excellent. (indeed, all of his books are worth reading).

Greek Orthodox here. I was grateful for the coming together on common ground. You might want to tune in to some of the dialogues that have occurred between our two bodies. It seems that much of the division is due to issues unrelated to faith matters, including linguistic misunderstandings. I certainly can feel the comonality with my Coptic and also Armenian and Ethiopian and Assyrian brothers in Christ, including in Egypt. I do believe we should be having more such dialogues as this one , and do what we can to bridge the gap between us and unite in our Lord Jesus Christ and the holy tradition we share of the centuries prior to our separation. This rapproachment it seems to me should be prioritized before trying to resolve the much larger differences we both have with our Roman Catholic and Protestant brothers in Christ.

Although it is obvious you have a good intention in this comment, it is a rather dangerous ecclesiological position to hold to think that the fourth ecumenical council was just one big misunderstanding. Did the Holy Fathers gathered together (many we recognize as saints), illumined by the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth), just simply misunderstand the opposing side?

@leopistis3560 You put that much more gently than i likely would have, so thanks for keeping me from lookin like a jerk lol!
Its sad that in order to extend a hand across the aisle people feel the need to flatten/whitewash everything; why cant we disagree AND love eachother?

Why is Fr. Damick in grey? Did he fall in battle with a beast of shadow and fire, then return?

I am a former atheist that discovered more from Jesus himself than i did from over 35 years of secular studies.
January 2024 Jesus allowed me to finally see and hear him, now i spend all my time studying God and the church fathers. I have so many questions, and often an answer leads to an entirely new question.

Thank you fathers for this much-needed talk on the reality of the spiritual world. Many more to come if God wills.
Since angels were meant to minister to creation the grace of God and the divine wisdom to humans, I am wondering how this would play out in the realm of thoughts? Are there certain angels responsible for communicating the thoughts, ideas, and movements toward The Good Himself in the form of virtues (Love, humility, peace, truth, etc.)? In turn, would there be fallen angels responsible for the same thoughts, ideas, and movements toward the opposite (the passions, Islam and other religions, individualism, secularism, and similar renaissance ideologies, etc.)?

I mean no disrespect but i personally am a bit put off by having this heterodox priest on the platform explaining spirituality. Our fathers could be using the platform to highlight our sister churches and their unique tradition but instead its more Eastern Orthodox who have more than enough online exposure and arent apart of our Church. This platform isnt mine so they are free to do with it as they wish but I pray there is more dialogue and exposure of the Oriental Orthodox Church and our various traditions that have held the same faith for almost 2000 years. God be with everyone 🙏🏿

You have a lot of judgement in your heart. Read Matthew 7:1-2. Also, these Coptic priests are trying to build a bridge across the disconnect apostolic churches. It’s not their fault that you don’t watch their other videos, most of which are just the Coptic priests discussing faith. You get mad at the few “crossover” videos?

@dfwherbie8814 Never said I was mad sir. I started the sentence with i mean no disrespect. I also binge their videos all the time and have met abouna anthony mourard in person last year at the sandy cove retreat where he spoke for a weekend. As for judgement I dont know what to tell you. If i see something I say something 🤷🏿‍♂️ May God forgive me if thats a sin.
