Great video! Love All your videos actually! But I have a question. Im doing my fuel pump now and replacing with the exact same unit and wondering why you didn’t just plug the oem connect into the new pump. Mine fit and locked right in. Maybe the older pumps are different. My dw is about a year old now ( bought it a while ago and just now putting it in that I have the turbo in😆)
I supposedly bought the version that should be plug and play, but it definitely wasn't for my pump assembly. So I had to hack up a new pig tail.
I have a DW100 which came with the same connector with blank leads. The walbro install kit comes with butt connectors. What are your thoughts on using butt connectors for this instead of the spade connectors up top?
I think they will be fine most likely. If you want to be extra careful you can throw the connectors in some gasoline for a day or two and see if there is any change to the plastic.
@@OGPedXing thanks, that’s a good idea. I think the nylon butt connectors will be ok in gasoline but will try this.

Yep, pretty straight forward. I just measured the new hose length as I went for each on I popped off.
Did you have to tune it like recommended? My pump is starting to go bad and would like to upgrade it instead of stock replacement as well
No, just an easy plug and play. The fuel pressure is going to be the same, what this does is allow the fueling to remain stable with bigger injectors, which you can add later. Then you can do some tuning to take advantage of that extra fuel.
