Please do what you want to do! I enjoy your videos and have gotten ideas for patterns I want to try. You have a lovely way of talking and I find you inspiring. ❤
Lovely video, Claire. Felt for you with the new boots, so so painful, I know that well. Your flour dress is lovely. Your purchases are gorgeous. Thanks for spending time making these videos, I like to listen to you talking about sewing and life.🎉
Thanks for sharing about your day at sew brum. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to go as I'm in the US but was interesting to hear about it. Your fleur dress and jacket look great!
New shoes are always hard to wear as you want to wear them but the pain with rubbing is awful and it makes me feel sick too - you had some amazing friends to go off and get you new ones and it all worked out in the end. I am from Coventry which is almost next to Brum and my mum use to take us to the Rag market as she was an amazing sewist and made all of our clothes when we were small. Haven't looked for fabric there ever for myself since I have started to learn to sew and took it up as a hobby and this is something I would like to come along to next year as my son still lives in Cov so travelling from Cornwall isn't too bad for the weekend . Bit daunting when you are on your own but sounds like everyone is so friendly
@@louiseroberts9553 oh you really should come, it’s a fab day out with sewing friends. Let me know if you decide to come next year as you can always join us so you don’t feel on your own 😊
Ooh, I’ve not seen that Friday Pattern Co dress before. It’s not on their website. I wonder if they’re resizing it to rerelease like that Westcliff one. That will look gorgeous in that fabric. It almost looks like a woven, dress version of the Adrienne blouse doesn’t it?
@@lovejohandmade ya it is a bit like the Adrienne blouse. I think it’s an old pattern, it’s quite hard to come by now. I managed to find this version (somewhere) for my husband to buy for me but I’m not sure how many places still stock it 😬
Think I need to come to Sew Brum next year, had heard of it but didn’t really know what it involved, it looked like a great day out. Your fabrics all look gorgeous. What day are you going to the Sewing for Pleasure at the NEC ?
@@michelleblount1336 are you on Instagram? If so, follow CharlotteEmmaPatterns as Charlotte organises Sew Brum so she will add all the info on her page but I will be sure you remember to mention it in advance also for next year ☺️
Oh Claire, I was cringing with sympathy during your Doc Martin shoe story. Your poor feet. What great friends though! It's funny, I was a bit disappointed with last month's FG box. Your jacket is gorgeous. But the fabric/pattern are just not me. Whereas, (mine arrives in the US today) this month's fabric and pattern are just what I've been thinking of for a trip I have coming up. But I love the Adrianna Dress you have too. I think it's going to be stunning on you! I love seeing your purchases as I'm on a big buying ban and feeling a bit sorry for myself, LOL. You have no idea how lucky all of you are who have access to things like the Stitching & Knitting show, and G&G, the Rag Market, etc. It's just not really a thing in the US. Sadly, we are all too far spread apart. Have a wonderful week!
@@ritaadler-everett5392 thank you, yes I was a bit silly wearing those boots. Oh well, you live & learn 🤪 It’s great how we all have different tastes isn’t it. Shame the waterproof fabric isn’t for you. Will you repurpose it? Good luck with your fabric ban, as you know I don’t do very well with those. Lol Sorry to hear you don’t have the shows, etc that we have! Hopefully you enjoy hearing all about it ☺️ Take care x
@@lovesredsews Oh Claire, hmm, my sweet dog, Ruby, needs a new winter coat. If I make it out of the FG flower puffer fabric, she will be the fanciest dog in the neighborhood! 🤭😂
