    One thing. Aren't the wraps surrounding the briolette too close to have it move enough to hang well

      Not at all. I actually used this exact bead in the butterfly windchime that I made. If you check out the video of it on my channel, you can see what they look like hanging. I also use this technique to make dangly earrings, and necklaces as well.
