Driving the fuel tanker truck down to the dock is something I saw in Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland too. Greece looks more interesting than I imagined. Most pics of Greece I see make it seem super arid, but in your video it seemed relatively lush.
Hi Tod. There are definitely parts of Greece, particularly the Aegean, that can be very dry, but still there's much beauty in the varying landscape. Fair winds!
We did a similar trip on our newly commissioned Dehler 36 from Slovenia to Turkey via Corinth Canal years ago. That bridge was not finished yet. We were approaching on sail but Greek coast guard asked us to take down our sails and motor. Brings back memories. Looking for a new boat now and 440 is on the short list for European delivery as we live in the US. I'm curious where did you have the dinghy davits done?I didn't see it on the options list for Jeanneau We are thinking of an arch..BTW the most challenging sailing I encountered is in Aegean sea including and I did couple Ocean crossings. Thanks
Thanks Ali! We bought the davits from Canadian company, Atkins and Hoyle, but had to modify the stern with a lot more fiberglass to handle the load. Now, jeanneau offers very robust davits as an option on the 440. You might consider joining the Facebook group Jeanneau Walk Around Series as there are a few owners with those davits online.
videos keep getting better!! thanks again for taking us along. now we just need to get you some more subscribers!!

The only part of Greece that is arid is the Aegean islands and some parts of Crete.....the rest is green
