I'd love to see a tiny farm mod with an expandable farm mod. Make it like 10k or so for the first expansion then double it for the next etc. But you can never expand to the same size as a normal farm.
Make it so the ground is very fertile so all plants have a slight chance to drop a second one (very low, mostly unnoticeable unless you have a large farm) but shorten all crops growth time by 5 percent, minimum a day, just to balance the cost+size deficit.
There is one called LNH’s Expandable Farm Mod where you start out with less that the standard farm and can upgrade it 5-6 times. It does get larger than the standard farm map though.
Thats not a farm, thats a front yard. Youre like one of those anti-lawn suburban families that rips up the grass and growing veg and native flowers in their little plot

Yeah so I am trying to reach perfection and I'm on year 8 so l thought I was pretty far along but where i reached the walnut room on ginger island to check my progress I was only at 33% 😭 I'm crushed.
I actually like this type of size of farm. I get pretty anxious handling such big farms, thinking that I might have missed something before going to sleep, lol.
im gonna be honest, i feel like this would be a very fun official farm. not just for challenge runs. but also to give people other choices and priorities.
I've been playing on the farm and it's a lot more fun than I thought I'm currently on summer year 2 my plan is to get perfection I've already finished the community center and I have a fully upgraded barn, house, coop and shed. I have a small crop area with an iridium sprinkler right now and I'm preparing for ginger island. I'm definitely going to post a pic Reddit when I'm done:)
Situational Irony. Dramatic Irony would be if you were planting a huge cauliflower without the knowledge that you don't have that much farm space. It's situational irony because you are planting the big cauliflower despite how little farm space you have on your -little- average farm, instead of little cauliflowers surprising the viewer with an act that is not expected nor appropriate for your circumstances. . . 🤓
If it was just a teeny bit bigger (enough to fit a building a bit more comfortably), this would be a fun challenge in specialization. You don’t have the space to Jack-of-all-Trades like a normal farm, so you’d have to sort of pick one thing to base your farm around. Like, I think making a little winery might be fun, maybe I’ll try this map out and do that some time.
gug upload!! I'm impressed you managed to catch that legend fish, I think it took me until spring of year 4 to actually try and I still had to boost past ten with extra luck to catch it
Waligug on 7 of spring: " my plan for today was to quickly check the traveling merchant for anything i needed for the community center" as he scrolls past a pufferfish Editor:" ( there was nothing) Pufferfish: " so im just useless now? Like im not used in a bundle anymore?"
I think this sized farm would be nice if you’re not in any rush to make a million gollars or complete the community center. It’s cute even. I think at most it should be just a little larger to be able to comfortably fit a coop, a barn, and a silo, while still having enough space for a 5x5 plot of land for farming. It would be the true roleplaying farm lmao
The first spring is the only time you'll really need to have a lot of room to grow crops to ensure you're getting the five gold parsnips. After that, it's pretty easy to get 5 gold corn and melons with quality fertilizer, and you can pretty much dedicate the rest of the space to animals to ensure you get rabbits' feet. You get a keg for completing the artisan bundle, and it's possible the the traveling cart will have wine as well, so you don't even need to get to Farming 8 for wine. I actually think it'd be perfectly doable, it'd just be very reliant on fishing for income to get the deluxe coop with enough time to get happy rabbits and that could get tiresome, but there's always serpents instead.
On the topic of NPCs freezing whenever you catch a fish, it reminds me of that one lastplacecomics comic about a commercial host freezes someone in time in order to make his speech
8:27 closest irony would indeed be situational because dramatic irony is when the reader knows something bad will happen before the in story characters do
