Omg I am so glad I came across your video. I really love the shape of the Kelly, but I was starting to come to terms with the fact that I would never buy one. It is out of my price range and I just don't see myself ever feeling comfortable carrying a bag that expensive. I have been looking alternatives to the kelly. The brand launer (I believe that's how you spell it) was the closest thing I could find, but I never purchased. Lederer gives the same classic shape and quality for a fraction of the price. I recently purchased a black alligator lederer bag in the kelly shape off poshmark. I got it for $300! It is slightly bigger than a mini kelly 2. I wonder if the size is similar to the vintage mini kelly which I actually prefer. It's 8.5"(L)×7"(H)×3"(W). I am totally in love with this bag. I also love that the bag has a history and it has the address in the bag. I am truly grateful for this video you shared. Your bag is gorgeous!

Beautiful bag👏🏾!!! I remember their store when my mother took me “window shopping” in Manhattan in the late 1960s. She never purchased anything from them but I know she admired their workmanship. I.Miller on 5th Avenue was her go to bag & shoe salon. I will definitely be on the lookout for this bag-Thank you!

After watching your video, I've been searching for the Lederer Kelly bag for a year and I finally found one yesterday on poshmark! It's black like yours except in the sellier style. I'm so excited. :D Thank you for the information and video! I've always wanted a Kelly bag but haven't had the money to splurge on a Hermes yet. I'm so excited for mine. :)

This is a really lovely bag.I thought it was a Hermes bag. it actually looks better than most Hermes Kellys but then I don't really like Hermes cos of the price and the stress of getting one, not that I am interested to be honest. I like your bag so much.Its really nice:)

Ooo murky waters! Hermes actually brought Lederer to court over copyright infringements which I imagine was due to these styles of bags essentially being replicas of their iconic Kelly bag. Lovely bag, personally i'd prefer to give my money to the original designer of the bag - Hermes.
You are exactly correct !! There was a lawsuit brought against Lederer by Hermes for that exact reason. I agree I love this bag so much, but I ultimately bought a vintage Hermes Kelly bag too.
Wow.... i love the stamping on the interior! As a H collector, this bag is definitely a gem and definitely well crafted. We rarely see bags from the 1950s! TFS and i subbed, let's keep in touch dear!
