Glad I found this video as I just ordered pretty much this exact kit in Gold! Also learned how not to have the hidden saddle nut fall into the seat post repeatedly like I did when setting up the bike 😂
Correct the stock water bottle cage bolts are aluminum. In this instance the titanium cage bolts would add weight however most people happily go for it as our low profile bolts are just around a gram heavier yet don’t strip out nearly as easy as the stock aluminum hardware which is never fun to try and remove from the bike.
Kits vary in cost just depending on how much hardware we have that fits your specific build. This kit was about $190 USD. If you are interested in having us put together a custom kit for you, you can email us at support@betterbolts.com
We recommend using threadlocker and anti-seize on all bolts other than bleed hardware. We recommend following all manufacturer torque specs when installing.
What kind of bolt or add on was used on the rear bottle cage but specifically the top bolt? Never seen that done before. I might have to get more bolts from you guys for my Tarmac SL7 😄
Hi, since the bikes can vary in components either by model or because of customer customization we do not have prebuilt “kits” ready to go. We do however have a Bolt Kit Builder tab on our website. That will allow for you to submit for a request for us to build you a bolt kit specific to your bike and components.
On the SL8 12mm is as long as you can go. The seat tube is very shallow so super short bolts are required. The factory spacer on the seat tube water bottle cages is also required.
Those are our low profile water bottle cage bolts. The length you will need depends on how thick of a bracket your accessory has. The threaded holes are very shallow on the seat so you don’t want super long bolts. We used 12mm bolts on this build.
Yes, while alloy is lighter than Titanium it does not have the same corrosion resistance or strength. Overall this bike did end up lighter than with the stock hardware even with replacing a few aluminum bolts here and there. The new Titanium hardware will not corrode, be much less likely to strip or become damaged, and best of all matches throughout the whole bike while adding some bling.

Please make an instructional video about caliper body bolt change
Wow that color looks great in this video !
Looks great in person too!
The included bottle cage bolts are aluminum. Replacing them with Titanium adds weight.

Looks very nice and a good weight savings...
What size is the bike and did you measure the weight? Total...
Thanks 👍
This was a 54cm. We did not take a final weight of the bike.
they show in the video the difference in the bolt weight was about 40g from stock.
I have the exact same bike, definitely want the same kit for it
Shoot us an email we can make that happen!
38g savings, not bad. How much is the full bolt kit?

Looks awesome!! What tires did you put in?
Specialized Turbo Cottons
On which bolts do you use anti-seeze?

That was a spacer that comes on the SL8, not a part from us. The threads are super shallow for that top bolt on this bike.
Please provide All frame screw size bro

What length bolts for the bottle cage holders?

Where on the website is the under saddle mount bolts?
