Another excellent video. I love your content and style of presentation. Just a couple of points about the graphics, though: Latin for apple/evil is malus, not marus; and the ἰχθύς/wheel one might have worked better with a lunate sigma, which was the standard form at the time.
My Orthodox friend turned me on to this channel as I’m a reformed Baptist and I’ve been looking into the Orthodox. Thank you so much for this channel. You are awesome and very intelligent and informative. Blows my mind this channel is not close to a million subscribers yet.
These are such stunningly high quality videos. Praise the Lord ❤️ The description of the apple in the icons of Jesus and Mary made me tear up for some reason.
Yes, another volume please very enlightening great videos everyone I’ve seen so far I have just discovered your videos, and they are short but to the point and that is one of the things I like the most getting to the point without too much extra minutia very good thank you
I love your channel, it truly gives me such a vibe as i am listening to my aunt in the evening while drinking tea. And the content is amazing too. God bless brother ❤️
I would be interested to hear your views as to the meaning of the Hexafoil or the flower of life that can be found in many early Greek Orthodox Churches?
Thank you for an excellent, grounded video about the various Christian symbols. I would like to know if you could please point me to a scholarly resource that attests to the usage of the Incthus Wheel in early Christianity? I have searched for such resources, but can't really find anything that is peer-reviewed. Could you please assist me?
Awesome video! Thank you so much. I heard on another Orthodox program that the peacock is also a symbol of the cherubim because Ezekiel 10:12 describes them as being covered in eyes and the peacock feather looks how the early church imagined the cherubims whole body looked
The cross only existed as a Sun Symbol as well as Roman (and others) Battle Standard, until Jerome (being a secret sun worshiper himself) changed it by switching "Stauros" with "Crux" when creating his errant Latin Vulgate. Until then there was no "cross" in scripture. Yahushua died on a single upright stake, just like the lambs being slain and hung at the Temple for Passover at the same time.
Very interesting. But I've been told other interpretations for these symbols. I read that IHS can also be an acronym for "Iesus Hominum Salvator" (Jesus, Saviour of Mankind). I've also read that the peacock's flesh was believed to be incorruptible, and so it was used as a symbol of immortality. A minor correction: the word for apple and evil is "malus", not "marus". Continue the great work!
IHS is Isis, Horus, Set. This video is chocked full of ancient occult and later Illuminati symbolism, used by the deceptive Christian Churches portraying themselves as purveyors of truth, while preaching a lawless, hyper-grace false doctrine.

Ah no! Typos! Thanks for pointing that out
Plus, the wheel could have been perfect for the fish's eye!

This symbol is CRIMINALLY underrated.
I love how this tea channel talks about the things of God throughout the video. Genius idea
Haha! Someone's seen through it! It's a channel about tea but we talk Church history as an excuse to bring up more tea.
@@Patristix thank you for all your knowledge and content.
Best channel. Seriously. In the spirit of the early Church.

Careful, If you educate people enough, especially on icon symbolism, you are gonna make the people at Ancient Aliens cry.
Doing research for a music video production. Thank you!
Another great one. ❤
love the format

Here in Hawaii we have the Passion Flower!
Love this channel.
It's mutual, friend!
I have a piece of jewelry I think is an Ethiopia Cross. Is there a way I can send you a picture of it?

Vol. 4? 🥸

Man really went through the birds and just skipped right over the eagle... 😭

@@Nat_Sarimyour ignorance is astounding
So good! Thank you!
houhou first here !! Hello SIS
The Phoenix is also an occult symbol.
Many old Christian symbols were appropriated by the occult movements of the 18th century and beyond
You forgot St. Brighid's Cross, a Celtic pagan symbol which looks like a cross that was originally a symbol of the sun.
