Love him forever. He was a super good looking guy and could've coasted off being a sex symbol in the 50's and 60's, but instead became one of the GOATS of slapstick
The problem is Leslie Nielsen was the key to those movies being good, and he passed on. Now, the formula to making a good comedy is to hire a very serious actor to play overly goofy roles, but it's hard to find someone who takes their job very seriously but is also very humble.
