I couldn't resist. I bought one set. And that was after your seeing review. Good or not, I'm now a very happy owner of the set which fill me with joy. (Despite setting me back £142.99 from Jadlam toys and models, UK). Anyway, thanks for your review.
On an impulse, I purchased this set a few days ago (hasn't arrived yet). Dumb question, but as a "noob" to Scalextric and slot cars in general, can I run other Scalextric cars on this track? I've been eyeing the 6-wheel Tyrrell and a couple other offerings ...
You will be able to run any new scalextric cars and any manufactured after 2002, prior to this the track was different and the older cars struggle on new track, older stuff pre 2002 is reffered to as "classic" and post 2002 is "sport". You won't be able to run any new cars that have been "chipped" to become digital unless you buy a digital powerbase. But yes any recent car will run fine on your track.
Hello friend great review and thanks so much for sharing... as I recently did a review on the cars. And I would love to know your opinion on the video? Watch it if you have time. There isn't many videos on this so I'm really happy to see what other people think? Thank again really appreciate this video
This set is so 1980s they even called it the 1980s grand prix set, based on the iconic 1980s grand prix set that I played with as a kid in the 1980s, so I'm not sure why it's not the 80s

Get the decade right,NOT the 80s.

@@slot-car-dadyep both cars were produced and ran in the middle to late 80’s
