A comfy and inviting home is sooo much more desirable than a professionally decorated but cold home. You do a really terrific job. Don’t ever apologize for your financial status , remembering you have so much more than millions of people in this world I think you have a beautiful home.

How have I never run into this channel before? What a gem. I raised my daughter alone as a single father and we thrift and antiqued all the time! Today, my daughter is a woman who I konw can survive anywhere because she has learned the value of the hunt. Pray about it, do your best, and keep going. Those are my three! I was thinking the same thing as I listened to her! I am in my 60s and, although I still love it when people compliment me on my home or a specific thing about me that they admire, I am not nearly as concerned about what others think as I did when I was younger. It is so much more important to be in relationship with the Lord, pleasing and obeying Him, and valuing family. Blessings!❤

We were just in the Omaha/Bennington area last week-end visiting our grandchildren and the tree colors were amazing!! I didn't realize how many trees the area has. I love that all the new housing developments plant so many trees. Kristen your home looks amazing. You have pulled everything together to create a beautiful, cozy home. I can imagine the laughter and giggles coming from your girls as they play about your home. I love your thoughts and words about living for Jesus and not for all the likes and approval from others. Kristen, here to reiterate what everyone has said… your home is so welcoming and beautiful. You have made your new found treasures into a home that your family can enjoy. I am always so tickled when I see the treasures your girls find and are thrilled to have versus the kids running around in Target with new toys that cannot compare. You are teaching them to truly value things of the past.
It is tough to tune out outside noise and hone in to the Lords sweet still voice sometimes. The world surely tries to distract us, doesn’t it? You are an awesome woman of God which is first and foremost my reason for tuning in. Everything else is a bonus!❤
Kristen, never doubt yourself. I find myself in awe of the unique gallery walls that you created.. The quail and pheasant birds through out the house. One thing I saw was the lady feeding the chicken picture and it was so appropriately placed..Not to mention your personality and smile that brings us excited for the next venture you have in store for us!

I have raised my child and I am old enough to be your mother. While I do enjoy your thrifting and decorating, I am at the age where I want more out of my house than in. So, the reason I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to your channel is because you love the Lord. Oh my goodness Kristen, I had to hop on and comment!! Your home is absolutely beautiful and all of your videos and I mean all of them are very very inspiring to me!!! I love how are you bring vintage and Thrift goods into your home! I just want you to know that I would consider myself to be creative, but I also don’t think I am super good at home decor. That being said, I think you bring a very unique and cozy feel to your home into this channel. I think what you do is incredible, and you are very gifted. I don’t know what other people comment that make you feel otherwise, but that’s what’s so beautiful about art and creativity… you can be as unique as you want, and everything is completely up to you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you think it’s beautiful and you think it’s fun then that’s exactly what it is! Just know that I am a huge fan of yours, and the scripture at the end of your videos really brings things into perspective as well. :)
The only thing that I would try to change would be hanging the TV if you can! I love the guest bedroom so much. My husband isn’t super into vintage or antique’s so I can incorporate a ton but I’m hoping that changes in the future😂 I love the paintings and old photos!!!
😭💗 So I recently started a new job as a cook at a child care center. I took the job with excitement and passion to nourish children and teachers with healthy nourishing foods but I quickly felt overwhelmed, disappointed and unappreciated by some of the teachers. I am the only Christian at my work. I and a sister from church have been praying for the staff and the children and have seen some wonderful changes but I have been struggling with seeking approval and appreciation from coworkers instead of relying on God to give me strength and peace. It is a battle of my flesh wanting to belong and be accepted but I know in my heart this is not my home. I must rely upon and share God’s love and grace daily so that God will be glorified. When you feel the passion and not rely on the expectation, it just clicks. Everyone's light is unique and when you are authentic it shows. The more stress you put on yourself to meet others expectations it eventually diminishes your joy in the process.
I actually love that you waited for the fall season before giving your tour. It does seem more authentic than people who are doing it in July and August. Let us viewers savour each season ourselves. Just the first scene ... a dog, an American flag, and a tire swing hanging from the tree. Seriously... does it getting any more home town than that! I do feel for you vloggers, as likes and subscribers equal approval which equals a lucrative channel. So even without intentionally needing approval, it is a requirement for a successful channel. Its just the nature of the business. But just don't compare what you have, how you style, what you thrift with others. God made us each unique people with our own visions. Follow your vision, your heart and your family's needs and comfort. Then your home will always be beautiful.

I'm two hours north and we got snow, yesterday. Our trees were so vibrant and beautiful this year, too. I hate to see it go! Your home is so lovely and, like others have said, I also love that you share Christ's love on your channel.
Kristin you could never know how much I needed to hear this today. I love decorating and my home is pretty nice but I have learned that people I invite to my house are intimidated and than they treat me different. It has broken my heart. I love to have my home pretty more for myself and never to show off or make someone feel bad. I am a very friendly person and would never do to others what is happening to me. So hearing that God is the only one that truly matters has helped to get me through this sadness. Your home is lovely and you can be proud of being so talented. ❤
