I can't factually confirm anything, but it makes sense to buy gaming GPUs. An inefficient server is better than no server at all. AI isn't like crypto, where there's a hard limit on how inefficient you can be.
This is pretty likely. RDNA3 are fast and come with 20GB or 24GB, also the memory bandwidth is good. For ML training of large model on Gaming GPU it is all about memory bandwidth. None of the Gaming GPU have memory fast enough to supply their AI/tensor core anyway. So the final training performance is almost directly proportional to the memory bandwidth.
I already explicitly avoid Walmart with how crappy that place is becoming, and I already am putting Gas Pumps into maintenance mode whenever they play ads for me, this is not a combination that will end well for Walmart if they proceed. Death to advertisements!

AI-ML is all about memory and data throughput. Memory and the PCIe bus IS the bottleneck. That bottleneck is less of an issue the more of the model you can load into the device memory (VRAM). The moment you fill up the GPU memory, your training speeds go to absolute shit. The 80 Gigs of HBM2 and NVLink is the primary reason why an H100 costs 30-40k and is the AI-ML power house. the only consumer card that makes sense for doing AI/ML training are the 3090/4090 and the RX 7900 XT

Like, nobody realises that you could just build 3-5 floor building with shops on the ground floor and apartments on the higher ones? The second floor could probably be even used as office space.

Yes, you are missing that people don't want to have a shop below their house and they also don't want to share walls with neighbors. It's like 50% of the reason why the average person wants to buy a house. The other half is owning a lawn for activities.

+ from what I see its just impossible to live there without a car, like at all, I think it takes additional (non trivial) toll on finances of people who live in those homes.
