Most viable empty natural reservoirs are already used for storage anyway, as it is by far the cheapest option. The big question is are they more viable for power generation. Porous rock is also a very good insulator so it is unclear how much heat transfer is there gonna be between the reservoir and the lithosphere. It may turn out that once you pump out the reservoir's initial thermal capacity, it won't get recharged fast enough for continuous operation. Like how a heat sink is only good until it saturates with heat, and afterwards it is useless without another mechanism to transfer the heat.

33:30 People are confused why so many Reddit users have so many coins left and hand out awards. The answer is usually very simple: when you get Reddit premium (to remove ads), you automatically, whether you want it or not, get 700 coins every month, so 8400 coins per year. And if you, too, think that awards are silly, those coins just stay unused and pile up. Now that Reddit announced the removal of coins, it makes more sense to hand out awards to other users (some awards give x weeks/months of Reddit premium) than to waste them.
