Unless public servants are held accountable , these mismanagement of public funds will repeat again and again. People involved must be punished , with ban to serve public office anymore! Also a police investigation to ensure that there are no misappropriation of public funds. Incapable labour council. Watch out for, someone would next bravely say ,we have no choice but to increase the council taxes.
there's an old adage if you are not qualified for anything and don't want to work but get paid a good salary and get a golden pension join a council where you will be surrounded by lots of people identical to you.
To be fair, the boss is probably in New York to compare just how much their respective cities have spectacularly sunk. I see a lot of similarities between them.
Wonder if the people responsible for this mismanagement were employed under the Diversity & Inclusion system, people who fitted some of that criteria but without the ability, skills and experience to do the job?

I use one fuxin bin, I am sick of finding out most go into landfill, and sick of having huge gloppy coloured bins making the house look like a broken lego house.
Time all these councillors were prosecuted for financial irregularities and miss management and face prison, these Questionable private companies being awarded overpriced contracts, and probably many Brown envelopes being handed round to these little dictators.
Thurrock council filed 114 last year. Fir decades theyce been siphoning off funds. There needs to be an independent audit of these councils starting from circa 1985
Time to start the people’s courts at the courthouse public building county court and start bring these man and woman who act as public servants before the people to answer why their dereliction of their duties with the people’s money and why these man and woman believe their entitled to such high wages when everyone else gets minimum wages. You will get services for 12 months every year - 2nd home owners get services for maybe 1 or 2 months. Shouldn't YOU be paying more than them? Shut your own whining.

And If you live in or near those areas that are saturated with second homes then you would understand why they should be charged more . Nice troll btw !
I couldn’t afford two homes but my circumstances meant I couldn’t move into my new home which was 70 miles away as something happened with family and had to pay rent, bills and council tax for two properties out of savings as I wasn’t working! Things are not always that simple actually

The problem is that you can't take them to court as the courts are part of the same system that is rife with corruption which we can all see
