This is why I love Red Bull as a whole. They don't do just motorsports. They have all kinds of great, sometimes unknown sports to discover. It's great that they use their F1 drivers to discover these sports and present them to the public. Being Red Bull F1 driver is great honor because you're not only driving a fast car but also discover a lot of new things.
It's incredible how competitive Max is, it's in his DNA!😲

That honestly wouldn't be a bad idea, this sport looks very sick and thrilling. Might make for some good content as well if the teams are okay with it.

Best one you've done! You could tell how much of a technical competitor max is in this. He listens, understands, takes in info humbly, then excels and dominates. He's just awesome

For those who don’t know, a ‘tack’ is the name for a nautical maneuver. In a Tack, you turn into the wind and it can be a violent maneuver or easily turn into a spin if the crew isn’t fast enough. Fail to release a line properly or on time, minor issue with coordination between members, incorrect judgement of wind can all lead to a failure of the maneuver and having to reset. Think spinning an F1 car out of a corner.

Great video. As an avid sailor and follower of the sailGP and F1 it is great to see the people of these two tech driven sports share their experiences and how oracle facilitates this. I can’t wait to see these boats in Dubai coming November. Wish I can have a ride on one of these boats also like our F1 boys did.

Max's probably more comfortable on water, as Red Bull as filmed him playing water sports in Monaco before. But also maybe it's just his adaptability.
@@accidentian In his free time he rides a jetski. He's probably used to speed on the water. And he's a bit younger. When i was 24 i didn't care about danger either. now with 35.... I'm a lot more careful because i don't heal like i used to!

Just an observation, Max is trained to move his head quickly. He is therefore able to adjust to changing situations. I noticed this when he's driving his F1 car, but also during interviews. Great potential if he wants to pursue for example F1 in the future or in any other endeavour.

Highly recommend sailing to people who are new to the sport. Lots of boats at many yacht clubs across the world want crew, plus there is club racing usually 3 times a week, it’s very accessible
