Before clicking the video: raised eyebrow and highly suspicious... After watching the video: already have two packrafts but now I need another. That was immensely fun to watch! I love being surprised and have my assumptions proved wrong, and boy did that happen here! Going to look into this seriously now, thanks a bunch!!
Should seriously look in to making 1 and 2 man stealth tents for stealth campers. they go for lots of money, and to be able to make your own custom one is most stealth campers dream!
Hi. My IKEA table never got assembled because of frustration during the process. I have done some work on myself since then including meditation, eating more healthy and getting more exercise. I can now make DIY boiled eggs almost without frustration. Do you think DIY packraft is for me? Thank you!
Hello, came across your channel and I must say it’s very interesting. I wonder what your thoughts on various types of fabrics? TPU nylon 210D, 420D, 840D, and 1000D PVC. Then there’s companies like Kokopelli that uses a blend of of 210D TPU nylon blended with Kevlar! Is one more or durable than another with weight advantages? For example is a 210D TPU with Kevlar more durable than a 420D TPU? Thanks in advance.
Hello, friend! I was wondering whether the largest of your kits fits me. I am 205cm tall and have no idea if the 140cm version is large enough or if it's going to be really tight in there
Thanks for your interest in a DIY Packraft! On the website, please go to the FAQ and click, “What size DIY Packraft should I choose?” That page explains how to measure yourself to see if you will fit.

@@ec6052 Really good! Definitely recommend it! Haven't used it as much as I would have liked (small child came along) but did a pretty epic trip down the Hunter River and Lake Hawea (after a massive week of rain) here in NZ. 👍
@@pirate323i Getting ready to make an order but it sounds so good that I was afraid it was too good to be true. Seems like a decent rig though. Thanks for the response , from NL (Canada)
@@ec6052 yeah, it is really good. But it is a fair amount of time to build it, which is outlined on the website. I made mine slowly over a period of weeks (fitting in around other things) so didn't seem too onerous!
@@pirate323i I work with my hands so I'm looking forward to saying I built it but I really wish I had discovered it over our winter, could have been a nice project to have ready for the spring. Which model did you order?

Haha! I think the ability to feed yourself regularly is a necessary but not sufficient condition.
Just placed my order ;-)

Oh dear. Here we go... I already feel sorry for my girlfriend for having to deal with me doing my packraft. :D
Would a clear bottom be possible?
Possible yes, but I don’t offer it as an option, so you’d be on your own figuring out how to make it. It would be a lot weaker than a fabric floor.

How's the project?
can we use a regular iron?
The size will make it too awkward.
Can you order them pre-made as well?
Yep, there are several companies that sell pre-made packrafts (but DIY Packraft doesn’t).

Steel?
is there space to strap a bike on the front?
Yep!
Haha, I have some issues with leaks. Any tips?
Sure - I have a page about that under the how-to menu on www.diypackraft.com
