Was confused at first when you said Newchurch, was thinking to myself that is nowhere near Pendle, didn't realise there was one over that way, had to look. I walked the trail a few times in Covid, not done it for a while TBH. Definitely would not want to camp in those woods, too many widow makers in there. I think you were right as to why there are only 9, I am sure I remember someone telling me that one of them was from Gisburn way, which given its locality to Yorkshire could be why one was hanged in York. Another lovely local walk, enjoyed seeing it from someone else's POV.
Hi thanks yes Newchurch is only a small village here and yes that’s right about the witches so that explains just nine. I was going to say in the video that one was from the Gisburn area so these are just the witches from here at Pendle hill but forgot as I started going on about the trail cam.
