It's almost as if a person who suffers from depression sees the world moving at a blurring speed, while we're stuck in place and remembering what has happened, and what *will* happen, leaving us in the mix of a high-paced and petrified state of change around us.... Danke Shon, Herr Heppner for such an amazing and insightful look into our souls. These will always remain in my heart.

Four years of each of us becoming progressively more horrible people. Not quite "War of the Roses," but awful enough. This song echoes so much of that time but the song has more substance than that dismal relationship. Thanks Wolfsheim!
Everybody who thinks a break up is the worst thing should listen to these songs and ask themselves "Maybe it wasnt the right one?" because while it does hurt, sometimes it just wasnt supposed to be.
I listen to this song because it's all I have left from someone I once knew. I feel like a part of me is gone, even though that part wasn't good for me. I just want to tell them I'm sorry for any hurt I caused them and hope they feel the same way. In general I write the melodies before the texts. Lots of melodies remain unfinished. But here I have the text so it will be easier. Unfortunately it takes weeks to create the music.
