Just wanted to say thank you (and to make sure “The Algorithm” can find this - this fixed my issues with my Maytronics S150. The dump flap / rapid drain flap had been dislodged a few times after going over some large debris. I’d previously fixed that however hadn’t noticed that the flap had started to warp so that it wasn’t closed and causing poor suction. The unit was also unable to climb walls. The guide for removing the dump flap / rapid drain flap and then heating it to remove the warp has immediately fixed my issues! Saved me a trip to get it serviced.
Love the thanks . I’ve checked many broken down robots and a lot do not even have the rapid drain flap ( missing ). Sometimes robots are left in bad quality water and the flap looks like a dog has chewed it .
That’s great . My first thank you . Fixing the rapid drain flap makes a huge difference to the robot . The repairers always want you to buy a new one . I’m glad the video helped you .
I’ll also note that the part in question (the rapid drain flap) is about $12 AUD online, so if it DOES need to be replaced, it’s not the end of the world and may be worth a shot before needing to send off for a service.

Thank you. Your video was very helpful. I was able to get my drain flap back on quickly and easily following the instructions.
Thank you for the comment. Once you fix your flap , the robot operates a lot better because water is not being sucked through that opening.
This video is one of those treasures on UA-cam. Thanks for posting. You saved our robot from the rubbish bin!

I did notice those flaps were not too costly . Most of the other Maytronics parts are about 25 percent of the robot 😊.
Can’t wait to give this a go. Robot just doesn’t clean anymore.
If it is sucking in rubbish that shoots out the top , yes most likely the rapid drain flap opening up

Sugestion when putting valve back, coat the nipples in soap and they pop in presto!
That may even help when taking the flap off . Good idea
