one thing that was missed is olaf ult cd is base 100, most toplaner ults are 120 seconds or higher (riven, darius, camille, tryndamere, wukong, garen etc) or 110 seconds like fiora so there's usually a 10-20 second gap which olaf can abuse if both ult at around the same time even moreso if olaf ults earlier or has cdr, the notable exception is jax whose ult is now also 100 seconds so watch out for that
This is why teemo is superior and definitely a viable and good champion
And volibear ult has 160s cd, riot hate him for sure

@@baphometgaming1056 good to just run you kids tru in league is so satisfying. yall swear the champs you play takes skill stfu. only champs that are decent are riven,camile,qiyana,azir,lee sin, yas thats about it. go play tekken 7 or go get good at emlia in guilty gear cause that takes tremendous commitment to the character in terms of learning all the set ups and mix ups and combos and set plays. No champ in league really comes close. there are like no champs where you have to sit HOURS and hours in the training room learning stuff and practicing combos or set ups.

Plus it synergizes with your passive, so on CD is good 99% of the time.

Hi Dobby. May i ask you a question because you didn’t talk about this in your video. For me, the best counter to Olaf is Phase rush since you can proc it with ability - AA - ability ( if Olaf lands a Q on my Garen and all-in ? AA - Q - E and i run out easily even if he ghost). So my point is : Should i max E with Phase Rush melee champion so i win the short trade or play the push, try to play with my jungler and roam a little bit ? You always max Q on Olaf.
If enemy has Phase Rush, then you bait them to use it and then all-in them afterwards.
If they don't interact with you, then you just deny farm and XP/invade enemy Jungle/do your Olaf things.
@@walkelftexasranger Yeah i put this message because i manage to destroy a lot of Olaf with my Garen Phase rush. Since he can't snowball my ass in the laning phase, i can do my garen thing when the mid game shows up. But what you're saying are legit so thanks for your comment.
I don't play Olaf but I have played this matchup a lot from the Garen side using Phase Rush, and personally I think it is very Olaf favored even with PR. He has the range advantage with axes, cannot lose in melee range, and has enough sustain to avoid getting chipped too hard by fast PR trades.
If Olaf isn't missing axes or diving recklessly, it frequently leads to the situation where Olaf is daring my jg to gank him on a massive wave and potentially get 2v1, or he shoves that wave into tower and takes control of top jg, eating all the camps and placing wards. Again, not an Olaf player, but from my experience on the receiving end, Olaf can still dominate lane vs PR champs and create huge pressure even if he can't outright kill them.
@@davidp7765 Also Olaf has something garen will never have and it's the ability to reach the back lane, in low elos you will reach them cause people suck but once you get to diamond master tier, unless you have really good macro as Garen reaching the back lane is a nightmare.
A fed Olaf with ghost flash is just always gonna destroy your adc first and without an adc mid game your not winning much team fights.
And most of the time if the ennemy has to use everything on the Olaf to protect their adc the fight is already won for Olaf.
@@sansnom686garen in general is very good pick into olaf, with phase rush it becomes farm lane. Whoever is better in mid game will win.
that one time i played olaf jungle, i went 0/5 and was alot of cs down so the most logical thing i did was to go down bot, found the better fed jungler and somehow 1v1'd him while literally button mashing LOL

There is this certainty in the movement and mechanics of Korean players that you don't see in other regions at least not as often. Like there are tremendous players in other regions capable of incredible big brain plays but for some reason the Koreans seem to be the most refined in execution.

@@altricad5358 He still feels really good in many matchups against champs which want to do the same thing as him - smashing skulls in. I feel like he mostly wins those. Dobby even listed him as a counter to olaf, which is arguably one of the strongest duelists in top lane right now. His weakness is imo that he just falls off harder in teamfights and struggles to catch up to ranged / mobile champs where Olaf and other fighters can still find angles at least sometimes.
Olaf is actually just free LP, except you have to sell your soul to the devil for using such a pathetically easy character.
Can you believe I can't use that champ? I can never know when it's winnable and when it's not, I even find gp easier

Everything in Stride is perfect for olaf, except ur not so tank with the spike but who cares, it's solo q, just side, 1v2 and pick up, and team fight with 3 items

When key skill i started doing recently, is blowing flash to start autoing and keep my ult up. There are some situations where olaf can pull of the unimaginable by keeping his ult up.
This feels weird af i play few games whit a champ it feels good or strong

apparently so since he did it vs Akshan jayce and Vayne which are 3 most common range top laner atm. Guess after the Dshield nerf on Olaf specifically its not worth it
6:00 I love this type of players. Like u are going to die, so just stand under the turret and get the kill. Some players just walk out of turret and let the enemies kill them without need to dive. I can't believe I see such stuff on diamond+ games.

I'm Lillia M7 [Lan xdd] . But i think, i'm so bad... so i wanna watch Korean or Chinese videos... and understand how to beat other champs like Fiora, Trynda or tank top
As an other main Lillia M7 who played mained her top, it's just hard. Like, everyone's saying this champ is "braindead, only run" etc, but it's so damn hard to play her good, cause it's basically pixel-perfect gameplay. People don't get how hard it is to really "run" well, cause it's not just running. Dodging all spells while still stay in range to touch your spells and outplay, cause if you get hit by something you're feeling it damn hard XD
And some matchups are just really hard if it's not impossible to win (I mean, against a good player ofc).
If we go from the point that you play against smart players, here's how I see some of the matchups you're talking about:
- Fiora is like I was saying a pixel-perfect matchup. You do 1 mistake, you lost. She has good mobility, good sustain, huge damage, and can counter your ult with her W, she can just punish you really hard in any trade and you can't do much about it. It's not impossible, but near it honestly. But a bad Fiora, Lillia can destroy her (If you still play pixel-perfect).
- Trynda hard too, but more easy than Fiora in my opinion. Your mobility is a huge advantage to trade him without being traded back, you basically eat him little by little till you he leaves or you kill him. And if he ults, you just ult him so it tempo his R. But care, cause if you don't respect him, you're still a squishy against a Tryndamere.
- Olaf, it can be resumed in one thing: You get hit by his Q, you lose the fight. He has the sustain, the mobility, and the damage to gap-close and kill you while you can't really do anything about it, cause his ult hard counters you. But you dodge all his Q, then it's possible to out-trade him. But just like I said, pixel-perfect gameplay.
- Mundo, you basically can't win any trade. Why? His passive counter's your ult, and you can't pop it with anything else on Lillia, so you will never be able to kill him. But the good news is, it's hard for him too to kill you. So just a freaking boring lane.
- Malphite, you're doomed. Honestly, almost impossible matchup. Your only chance is to dodge his ult, but we all know it's more easy to say than to do. His Q counters your mobility, and your a squishy so if he hits his R, it's over for you.
- Sion is pretty easy matchup in my opinion, cause your mobility is a pain in the ass for him. He can escape your R with his R, but if you move well, it's impossible for him to win a trade.
- Irelia and Yone, same sh*t, you're fuck*d. From experience, if they are good, it's just impossible to win trades without help. You can just play as safe as you can and prey that they are dumb enough to try a tower dive while you have your R. But you're not gonna enjoy your game I can assure you.
There's some matchup that I think about. And hear me out, I'm not a pro and don't know everything about the game, so maybe I can be wrong on some points. But I try to be as objective as possible, and talking from my own experience on the champ, so I still think I make good points. And if you want to know anything about any other matchup, tell me ^^

Fiora doesn’t counter you if you go crit build lethal tempo, just sidelane due to the squishiness of the build.

2:30 dont be fooled. Jax is just bad. big mistake he made: walk back after the stun to olafs axe. That not only gave olaf the opportunity to chase with axe but also give jax 6x minion aggro. LoL Dobby also has a jax Video from chinese Hushen. I highly doubt he'd make this mistake in trading
in 2015 i was trying jungler olaf and enemy jungler pick trundle with 1 attack speed item and shoes then he goes full tank.. i cant 1 v 1 trundle with my full item and his

Olaf mainers pls explain, why stridebreaker? Goredrinker looks like more effective and better.
Goredrinker stops your character in a place to do animation, stridebreaker allows you to continue walking while using it
Stridebreaker gives stats that Olaf really likes, has really good Active that allows Olaf to chase people and you can cancel animations with it.
Goredrinker on the other hand is just garbage item. It doesn't heal that much, it lacks stats Olaf needs and Active is slow and clunky compared to Stridebreaker's active.
It’s pretty much even between stride/Gore/Triforce. Each one for different comps. Triforce has insane snowball/splitpush power. Gore is great vs bruiser/tank comps so you can perma heal on them. Stride good for killing carries who have mobility. I honestly think stride is the worst option. It’s just that olaf still does well with any items so he can get away with it.

Garen its a 50 50- Darius stomps you if he knows what to do
2:30 the Jax is trolling , u never begin a lvl 1 fight with E , especially against a champ who's lvl 1 is super strong, he should've kept AA and then when he's half HP he can E forcing Olaf's flash to which he can respond with his own flash and secure the kill or jus back off and win the trade while keepin flash , and idk why he went back for the AA after his E ran out , he should just back off , i don't think that there's any champ that can contest lvl 1 jax with Lethal tempo , if u have ignite it's even better ofc, but the Jax in this clip is simply not very knowledgeable of the champ he's playing or the one he's against

I was wondering why the attack speed rune over double adaptive
feels better early, allows for 3 auto attacks before q can be used again after being picked up in lvl 1 all in, with double adaptive it's 2 autos and then like 0.2 sec before q can be used and it feels clunky to not get the insta q, also the extra attack speed is nice for getting reset on ult if you don't opt into an attack speed mythic and instead go hydra into jak sho which is arguably a stronger build than stride into dd

Conqueror is much better, you already get pretty high as from passive and w when low, but conqueror increases damage output drastically on autos q and E and q and e heal you too

As guy above me already said - you already have high attack speed from Passive and W + Conqueror increases damage of Q and E.
Lethal tempo is better. Conq is actually the trap.
He doesn't need AS that much. In early game ,you sometimes dont need to level up your W.
