Great vid Blair , i was a Gretna regular although I live in Annan. Watched them play in SLF 3, 2 & 1. Never got the chance to watch them play in the SPL. Although i was at all the scottish cup games & the 2 games at Hampden plus the game v Derry City at Motherwell. 🤯Some bunch of players they had & Rowan was a good manager. Think gettong to the SPL actually was the worst thing that could've happened, great memories tho 👍

Got to be a change of ownership with Gretna ,I remember thinking back when Gretna were doing amazing football wise ,how for such a small place with minimal support doing what they was ,and again mate what a superb presentation with you bringing in that amazing facts ,from the past about the lovers from England coming up to Gretna to make there dream happen ,getting married and impulsive happiness it would be interesting to know stats ,how many of them stuck together for life lol and just as I suspected it was a rich owner that changed everything,thanks for this top lad .

@@BlairMcNally great mate loving your enthusiasm with everything ,which reflects in your big content presentations really good ,and again I'll say much appreciated maybe one day you could swoop at the seaside ,show our iconic town and all it's given to people of this country ,I mean before cheap flights late 80 s yous came down in massif numbers ,glasgi fair used to be a monster two weeks of mayhem lol ,I still remember having sore face from fighting with them ,I was only a boy then anyway age 17 went to work on pleasure beach ,to get plenty of pleasure lol on top of pay obviously the girls were ,let's say up for it lol I used to be out with maits from work straight after ,looking after punters I'd came across earlier in the day ,I was charghand on dodgems which was a wild place back then lol ,it was nothing like how closed in it is now used to be 3 ft fence all round ,so lads would pile in at times I thought fk it gave em a free shot ,point I was going to make how wild it used to be for a young blackpool lad ,being in the thick of it imagine this at dinnertime going chippy with mate from p beach ,next minute got jumped by a few scots 😂👊 in middle of day then sometimes after work ,a few of us would go down diamond lils just near one of entrances of pleasure beach ,there isn't anymore it's all sealed the park and have to pay get in lol ,that was to stop some riff raff coming on there lol mainly very young boys ,like I did age 10 lol wandering round jumping over turnstyles ,and banging amusement machines obviously quite a few of us did it lol ,a wandered off from story diamond lils bar usually full of crazy scots ,so foolish I know for us who d already sometimes been attacked in the day ,but we didn't give a fk seasoned campaigners by then cos we also followed blackpool which I'd been doing ,since age 8 ,by time I was 17 and before really just like many in 80 s we were fighting with any other clubs fans ,who came to town waiting for them from 10 in a morning back then hard to believe cops didn't care lol ,they would leave you to it until fights were just about finished ,wild wild times bit of an history lesson mate and story's about football and the town ,I've got thousands most about girls 🤪 come down sometime with ur mates if you haven't before ,and maybe on a blackpool fc match day you will probably,find this hard to believe but our north stand Bloomfield road ,is has crazy with limbs after a goal than anything I've seen up your way ,honest especially against our hated foes prescum there's footage on you tube ,couple of years ago cos our scum owner let us get relegated and we're still shite thanks to him ,but our support normally is up there with the best ,and one of our greatest limbs was away a play off semi final ,away at forest the home one was great but away hard to put into words ,they only gave us 3,500 tickets at forest if they'd given us usual end ,holds 6,000 ,it would of been like an home game for us with how loud we d be lol ,you love your football just Google forest v blackpool here on u tube ,it comes up straight away cos it's that well known these limbs have been voted ,one of the 10 th best ever mate watch when first goal comes 🤝👊🍺💯🏆

@@BlairMcNally very welcome mate we can see and hear from afar ,what a great lad you are I think if ,you carry on way your going end up doing some work for sky ,like that English vlogger forgot his name we've seen though ,in sky presenting area with a sky laptop doing stuff is big deal ,was interviewing top players on the pitch and that , obviously didn't say how it came about but just carry on growing as you are ,youl get there mate 🌈

Gretna were a disaster waiting to happen. Paying Premier and Championship players to play in the bottom leagues was never going to work out well. Sure they romped up the leagues but it was never sustainable. All that “living the dream” pish that Chic Young et al were gushing about was all guff. Everyone other than the media saw it was a great example of how NOT to run a club and it wasn’t going to end well.
