One is as much a bigot if they don't respect someone for having different views about something. As long as they not harming anyone, let them have views. They can't force something you don't want to accept. I don't like it, don't accept it, an never will. I teach my children that's it's wrong. Now i'm not teaching them to go out an boycott, gay bash or call them names or things. I simply teach that it's wrong an not to accept it. The masses are being lead to slaughter blindly. I'm teaching my son's, daughters, nieces, & nephews. Teach the children and they'll be do good. Fail to teach them an they'll do bad.

    on gay culture, from my point of view, i honestly dont believe it matters if the person is gay or not. hip hop is about the message, i thought. im not gay, and im not going to choose a side for the sake of politics, but i will say this: be who you are, but say whats real. thats my take on it.

    This is my thing, As much as I love Lord Jamar and look up to him, I gotta disagree with him on this one as far as the "Being Gay is a Choice" agreement goes. Reason why I say that is because lets think about this...If a Boy, Teenage Boy, or Grown Man is not attracted to a Female period, Doesn't like Pussy, Doesn't find a female attractive sexually period no matter what then how is he Choosing NOT to like them? If nothing about a female turns a male on then how is that his fault? Same thing goes for Lesbians, if they aren't attracted to Males period in any shape or form then how is it their fault? How are they choosing? No, they aren't choosing at all, they are forced to like something that they have no control over cause that's just how it is. It's the Attraction that kicks in and determines what a Male or Female will like in life. Has any Straight men out those choose to like Females and like Pussy? No, because you had no control over that period, that's just the Attraction that you have. So I think that this whole "Being Gay is a Choice" topic is very Ignorant.

    • @jdac22
      @jdac22 9 років тому +5

      Jouri Soujiro You are somewhat right, IMO. What it sounds like Lord Jamar is saying is that people need to quit with the "I was born gay", when the truth is they really weren't. The majority of the people that are gay had a traumatic experience as a child that influenced their sexual preference. NO ONE is born gay. That is ridiculous! There is no scientific evidence that even supports that. There's more scientific evidence that goes against that claim than there are of any that supports it. I agree with Lord Jamar.

    • @williamblakeanphazethe1st831
      @williamblakeanphazethe1st831 9 років тому

      jdac22 do you need scientific evidence to prove that its possible to love anyone? Many black men don't go well with their feelings apparent your too moist when you are.., many are always feeling with their heads, why brainwashing mainly by an outdated heterosexual ideal that's had its time what happened to bisexuals, transgender, isn't Hip-Hop supposed to support the suppressed, when a culture loses self respect and self integrity it loses self validation look at the black men killing eachother that's not due to homosexual behaviour, maybe because we may be in denial? yet that is more tolerated why? just watch the rhetoric of the people who rule the culture and you'll see how one sided and one dimensional they are.

    • @jourisoujiro7965
      @jourisoujiro7965 9 років тому +1

      jdac22 Ok but as I said, Can you make a Man like Pussy? Can you make a Female like Dick? Answer that for me....

    • @jdac22
      @jdac22 9 років тому +3

      Simon Watson No one was/is blaming homosexuality for black on black crime, etc. The only thing anyone is really saying is that homosexual behavior is abnormal behavior, and that's definitely not something we want promoted in Hip Hop. REAL hip hop is an expression of the life people have lived through in the hood, so when they talk about killing, drugs, hoes, etc., that is just the life they know. There's some Hip Hop that is hurting the community, and that I will be the first to admit, which is why I don't like a lot of the so-called "Hip Hop" that they have out today. Hip Hop today is lacking consciousness. It's already bad enough that the LGBT is pushing their gay agenda on any and everyone, so we don't need that being pushed in Hip Hop either. Hip Hop has always been against homosexuality because its an abnormal way of life. That's just the reality of it, and it's not bigoted to state the facts about that.

      Jouri Soujiro In addition to what I said in my last post, even though you don't choose who you are attracted to, that still doesn't mean you were born gay.

    This dude has no idea wtf he is talking about, i actually like lord jamar i think hes funny and sometimes insightful but his ideas when it comes to homosexuality is completely ridiculous. The fact that anyone would seriously sit there and think that someone would CHOOSE to go through the things that gay people have to go through is completely moronic. He needs to really see the shit that we go through that we go through on a daily basis from not receiving jobs, to being tormented walking down a street (even if you NOT flaunting your sexuality) to being murdered and disowned by friends or family and loved ones... When you live that life then you come about and talk about it until then you have no opinion.

  • @phyllislucky6222

    I just can't believe how hateful some people are, I read the comments and I am just gobsmacked. Of course being gay isn't the same as being black in that black can not be hidden, however lets not forget that until fairly recently in history in the western world and still in many parts of the world homosexuality is a crime, people still get executed, beaten, victimized in general because of their sexuality.
    All these categories , white, black, gay , straight, male, female, light skinned, dark skinned, Muslim, Christian, are just there to divide and conquer get over all of them, the core is we are all human beings we need to celebrate that !!

    • @elisyelcajigas5641
      @elisyelcajigas5641 9 років тому +3

      phyllis lucky Why is it that when people have different views of homosexuality and the gay agenda, you gotta call it "hateful", "bigoted" & "homophobic"? Do any person know what homophobia means? It means the fear of gay people. When is a simple comment or difference of opinion about the gay agenda homophobic? It's not like they're wishing death and horrible persecution on the LGBT nation because the comments I read are not threatening the lives of gay people in general. People have the right to voice an opinion about the gay agenda, as long as they don't incite and promote violence towards gay people. And if people say they refuse to acknowledge gays in general or go near them, that's being a homophobe. Furthermore, you say that in America and across the world, people are still being slaughtered because they're gay. In the Middle East, Africa, and some parts of Asia where Islam is the main religion, they think that it is forbidden for man himself to be attracted to another man, I think that religion and faith has it's reasons. But in Europe, it's widely popular. Didn't you read yesterday that the country of Ireland just passed the law for gay marriage? So how are they oppressed? And in America, everybody's being more tolerant and are accepting the gay lifestyle much to the dismay of many. I think you should be fighting for the rights of those who still face persecution due to religious beliefs.

      gospelevans Oh! Well excuse me then. I didn't know what you mean. Please excuse my rudeness, then. It's just that I get sick of hearing these gay advocates and those who are pro gay agenda say that we aren't allowed to voice our con opinions on the issue because it's not within their jurisdiction. And thus take the hypocritical initiative of calling us bigots and homophobes because of it. If you voted the last time to express your First Amendment rights, you should be allowed to express how you feel about the issue, as long as you're not threatening them with harm. Again, my apologies. These things I take very serious when gays wanna have an excuse for calling people homophobes.

    Gay people aren't promoting homosexuality, they want to be viewed as equals and not looked down upon. Homosexuality isn't contagious so stop obsessing over other people's sexual preference. I would think that people of color would understand what it's like to be shunned and treated unfairly for being what you are. There's no switch to turn your sexual preference on and off. I just don't understand the obsession and chastising of the LGBT. It's not a choice. I'm a straight man but I am aware that sexuality is a spectrum and isn't black and white. It's been around since the beginning of time. Don't like it than don't partake in it. Lol wtf is the obsession

We have Christian conservatives who want to make it legal to turn gay people away from stores and reuse them service. Sounds familiar? The point is for all citizens to be treated as equals. Just like white is the majority and has a record of keeping minorities down straight religious people want to keep down gays and those of other faiths.

    No more persecution...!?!?! 3:26 My one issue with opinions that aren't based on facts...is that they aren't based on facts.
    From March 9, 1969 [14] - Howard Efland, a gay man who had checked into the Dover Hotel in Los Angeles, under the pseudonym J. McCann, was beaten to death by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department
    TO
    November 8, 2017 - A 17 year old gay teenager was allegedly attacked by 18-year-old Trevon Godbolt. Godbolt reportedly made the victim strip off his clothes and possessions, then beat him and took his clothes. Another man and two women were involved, one of whom recorded the attack on a cell phone. The video was later posted on Facebook.[227]
    January 2, 2018 - Blaze Bernstein, an openly gay Jewish college student, was stabbed more than 20 times. Samuel Woodward, an avowed neo-Nazi and member of the group Atomwaffen Division, was charged with his murder.
    January 29, 2019 - Smollett, 35, was walking in the 300 block of East North Lower Water Street about 2 a.m. local time on Tuesday “when two unknown offenders approached him and gained his attention by yelling out racial and homophobic slurs towards him,” the Chicago Police Department said in a statement. “The offenders began to batter the victim with their hands about the face and poured an unknown chemical substance on the victim.”
    The gay struggle is a struggle ALL races and groups that have been oppressed can be more sympathetic/empathetic to because in the bigger picture: gays have been beaten up and had their rights taken away by usually the same oppressors many have shared: those in a relative higher place of power who can deem someone less than and change the way others see them. They have had their truths and lifestyle distorted or magnified like many of us.
    Please PLEASE remember who ever told you or taught you something hateful. Why you think the way you might think about a group that is being killed or hurt in someway. If we don't act empathetic in mind first, we tend not to see the humanity in someone and see through the hate, ignorance, or biased perspectives that were passed down on to us.
    WIth all due respect to these hip hop artists and what they have added to the culture, and to those who agree with them: I kindly ask to please keep confronting this issues with facts and meet up with real in life gay people that you can ask their opinions, ask about their life story, and not just keep recirculating opinions that aren't based on concrete facts that can apply to all or most of our homosexual brothers, sisters or whichever pronoun they identify with: like artists mentioned: they tend to base their judgements on what they were brought up with (Sadat X) and specific exceptional stories that don't apply to an entire group of people (Lord Jamar, re: dog sex story, etc...).
    I believe in us to come together and unify one day and realize we keep getting pitted against each other judging our oppression while those doing the systematic oppression in authoritative positions are making out the money, with the power, and with the ability to make their laws the way they and their groups want while we are left socially oppressing each other thinking it's normal to judge and hate a group of people.
    Friendly bonus dose of perspective: "Rather than emphasising the homosexuality of these persons, however, many Native Americans focused on their spiritual gifts. American Indian traditionalists, even today, tend to see a person's basic character as a reflection of their spirit. Since everything that exists is thought to come from the spirit world, androgynous or transgender persons are seen as doubly blessed, having both the spirit of a man and the spirit of a woman. Thus, they are honoured for having two spirits, and are seen as more spiritually gifted than the typical masculine male or feminine female." - www.theguardian.com/music/2010/oct/11/two-spirit-people-north-america
    Isn't it funny how only in the 20th century after European homophobic influences affected all of us that the spiritual respect and value on someone's humanity, traits, and gifts started to decline...? And I'm not trying to stir anything against Europeans, just factually speaking, conservative European belief systems started many a power play over all groups they deemd unworthy, animals, less than or subhuman from blacks and gays to women or indigenous people. Please keep learning perspective from history and applying it with love and understanding to our current situations and issues. I believe in us and this world, always.
    Much love and respect to you all, whatever your viewpoint is, whatever you believe in: I give you love and respect to you and your lifestyle.

Clearly there's an audience for people who talk about gay issues and gay rights and stuff like that, but to say something is over-promoted just because more people than you would like to be interested in something are interested in it is ignorant.
    Is Soulja Boy over-promoted? I don't think so.....I don't like his music, but clearly a lot of people do so they can have their opinion and taste and I'll have mine. It doesn't take anything away from the things I like.

    Crazy coincidence Lords wearing a Stussy t shirt.i remember back in the 90s kids and people were accused of being gay for just wearing that brand. unfortunately homophobia was accepted and a common thing back then and I don't look at the shirt that way because I'm not homophobic but he's clearly unaware of the contradiction in the image I see in this video. The Stussy Logo slightly resembles a quote similar to "I Am Gay" u can see it in it if you know how to look at it and know what to look for but it's 100% noticable when u finally do see it

    Let’s not kid ourselves. We understand how many rappers come from bad environments. Society allows rappers to glorify negative lifestyles under the guise that the rapper is “telling a story” of what goes on in his neighborhood. While this is true, it is also true that because the rapper doesn’t have a lot of opportunities to make an honest living, he resorts to rapping about violence, sex, drugs, crime for entertainment value and will profit greatly from doing so. The byproduct of this music is reinforcing the negative stereotypes many people in that community complain about. The music also becomes the “theme music” of the generation of that era and almost becomes a “how-to guide” for the streets. Just like a drug dealer who has to sell drugs to feed his family will also destroy his community in the process, the rap music has the potential to do the same. Rap music will NOT turn everyone into a criminal, just the same how growing up in a bad neighborhood doesn’t turn a person into a criminal. There are many productive who grew up in terrible circumstances. However, as a parent, you want the least amount of negative influences on your children as possible. Bill O’Reilly said this once, “never in history has there been a time in which so many negative influences have been thrown at our children at one time, then now.”

    • @TheOrcas94
      @TheOrcas94 9 років тому

      @tochiRTA. I'll take that as a yes. I was just asking because if you are not gay, then why are you up here catching feelings about things that don't concern you? It's one thing to have opinions on a subject, but when it causes you to curse at someone and call them names, that means you are mad because you think they are calling you out. In short, you get mad when people call you gay,that's why you lash out. That's how you can tell someone is gay even if they don't admit it. If you weren't gay it wouldn't matter to you what Jamar said.

    • @kamala80

    My personal opinion is giving every person on this planet the right to exist as a human being no matter what your sexual orientation is. Gays do not choose to be gay. I had a friend in Africa whom is gay and was mistreated by others. He was a brilliant friend. I remember standing up for him once in school against the bullies. We were in our early teen. Black people descrimate against gays because of their crazy beliefs in Christianity and ignorance.

    Just because something exists, doesn't mean it's being promoted. If you see a commercial about McDonalds and you know you don't like McDonalds you are not going to be swayed by it. If you go by they're logic, promiscuous sex, drug addiction, battery and sexual assault against women, murder, etc. has been promoted by hip hop for the longest time. I guess that's okay. Heterosexuality has been promoted from day one of humanity and gay people still exist. Listening to them is quite sad. If ignorance is bliss, these are two very happy individuals.

    There isn't enough science to conclude whether gayness is a choice or not, but heres my educated opinion...although Jamar is right on the traumatizing experience angle, he also isnt entirely as there are men who get raped by men, children who get molested by men and don't turn out gay. There are men who dont go through anything traumatizing and still turn out gay, so that;s not the correct answer. My view, people are different and are going to react to things in different ways i.e. one person might play call of duty and be completely fine, while another might be influenced to commit violence by it. It does have something to do with variables in the brain, that much i'm sure of...but whether it is ultimately a choice or not i can't cosign. Some people kill themselves for being gay, it might just be one of those hardwired traits that genetics wire into our brains...just like how certain people may like pasta more, while others may prefer meat and rice. We don't see these variables in animals, as every lion will choose to eat the same things and never stray from those choices, so it has something to do with what causes us to have free will. Some people say it is having a soul or whatever but then that means they believe animals don't have souls and that is based off no type of logic whatsoever. It's much more complex that just "having a soul". We'll find the answer one day, hopefully while i'm still alive lol im only 18 i got some time.

    Ok. Loving the same sex. Ok. Men loving their dads, their homeboys, women loving there girls or whatever. But being IN love? Like how? How do you want to get old with them and have sex with them? Why? When there are all those beautiful women/men out there. I just really want to understand that because i do not at all.

    Jamar and Sadat say that now but they would treat their homosexual child different and better than they treat other members of the LGBTQ Community.
