Potential to be an offensive juggernaut. Elite court vision and amazing passer. Makes teammates better offensively. Still uncommitted to improving on defense. Unconcerned on defense at times. He has the height to be a solid defender. Has very active hands, however could possibly get into foul trouble with cheap touch fouls in transition. Must improve on moving laterally to cut off quicker 1/2 guards on penetration. Must improve on defending the 3/4 off the switch and on screen/rolls to the basket. Still much love for the kid. You can tell he's gotten better but still looks like he has a lot of work ahead of him
Petty Murphy no shit
lowkey
@@tykara3404 You mad about an observation? Tell your mother to hug you more. Lmfaooo... You seem disgruntled. 🤣😂🤣😂
Petty Murphy not really it’s just an idiotic statement. Typical kid.

Anybody remember when Lamelo yelled out he wasn’t a pass first pg during the Spire coach interview? Seems to me like he is🤷🏾♂️
That Booty because Stevens was locking his butt up lololol
I mean he’s only 17 playin against overseas and nba players and he’s still bein effective with his passing and still scoring not as much as we used to bcuz they’re not high school players like we’re used to seeing him play against. After we see him comebacc from Australia we will see a more stronger, athletic, and offensive deadly Melo
that’s crazy svi mykhailiuk is listed at 6’8 and lamelo was for sure taller then him
Miccaahh_ they’re like the same height lol
Melo is not taller than svi
Miccaahh_ svi taller
3:18 shows a simple clip of his elite level defensive potential! I love it!
Dan C Bearded I’m pretty sure it was for the dunk...
The help defender clogged the middle driving lane it wasn’t his D lol
Lol plus cope was his switch man and he had a wide open lane to the basket if he missed the dunk lol
Haters hate, shooters shoot... fellas, keep doing you 😉
Dan C Bearded we’re not hating it’s just melo wasn’t doing anything. I mean I want melo to succeed as much as everybody.
This convinced me more than the Drew League this summer, I got a chance to see him at the Drew and he looked great, but with Rico Hines there is no HIDING..Lamelo is the TRUTH!!!
Lamelo is trash. Thats why he losy damn near every game in a weak Australian league, shot 27% from 3, 35% from the field, and couldnt stay in front of slow 6'0 Aussie PGs with plumber bodies.
@Ashanti Ewing Stop hating? Stop being a soft ass pussy with a boy crush. I spoke facts, cry like a bitch if you want, facts are facts.
@@smyzo you must be mad asl right now homie😂😂😂😂
My man Jordan Stevens continuing to get that work!
Jim Bob he a cold az tryhard on the court
Ik bro I hope he goes to the league ✊🏻🔥
Seems like he’s on another level than those guys. He’s tough!!!!
Melo & Rico Hines? Bros lottery bound easyyyy
LaMelo starting to look and play like a Future Draft pick💯
Tredell McGriff always been a draft pick, top 3 is the question 🤷🏾♂️
Wow an actual point guard that looks to pass first. Nice
Nelson Lebron?
nalim lattarai lebron is definitely a foward..
Raymond Felton yet he passes better
Dylan Sheppard passing
Raymond Felton lebron dick riders will say anything
Svi is a bucket !! Lakers really gave him up for Reggie Bullock.
Shows nba potential signs but also shows where and what parts of his game need polishing. But that’s the beauty of playing against older experienced players who’ve played college , overseas, nba this was all a learning moment for him while having fun and doing what he loves to do
Honestly the only problem I see with Melos game is a lack of quickness on defense. I think once he gets his man strength that'll improve a lot.
What about his shot he can't shoot at all you don't think that's a problem in today's NBA?
He has a ton of areas he needs to improve on, but the kid has a lot of potential.
@@LM-ge4so Sure he might not be a super consistent shooter but he has the confidence to look for his own shot. Things will fall into place.
@@LM-ge4so he can shoot better than Ben Simmons tho and many point guards in the NBA...he just too unselfish
I disagree he shot 19% at spire 13% in the JBA 9% in the JBA from the NBA line 25% in Lithuania and is currently 6-27 in the drew league.
That vision is sure elite. The hybrid of em both!
LaMelo’s passing is truly elite and this step up in competition is just what he needs! If Lavar can just be quiet and let the boy develop and not put unnecessary expectations on him teams are going g to love his game!
Svi and Jordan really STAND OUT.
jordan is nice. Svi is well...Svi. his long range game is what you need to stretch a Defense.
That pump fake at 9:33 was mean had buddy looking hard
That’s svi he played with tha Lakers before they traded for the bum center n sf
9:30
No he gave up the shot dumbass
@@nono-ms9mm you right and he banged the shot too so who's really lookin dumb?
He always had crazy vision since a youngin 💯
Y’all bashing lamelo for his development but he ain’t even suppose to be going pro he still suppose to be entering his senior year my mans is a pure bucket when needed and is a all around player slap some defense on him and I see rings in his future tbh
Bruh your Dumb AF he would've been a freshman in college this year
Midnight YT his in the right class senior kid this years was kid born in 2001
haha lmao does it affect the fact he’s been playing grown man his whole life
Gang Music Ik I forgot about overseas
@@MarkAsareJR You reaching saying his whole life but he did play against grown men overseas. I'm just tired of this HypeBeast rhetoric that has no substance. Just let the kid develop and stop trying to anoint him when he hasn't even been drafted yet.
Damn that grandpa must be the best ever. mid 50's - early 60's and still better than a lot of people
That’s coutino Mobley (I cant spell his name) he played in the league.
Cutino Mobley is only 43
Uncle drew**
cuttino mobley was nice in the league
Shout-out to Kahil Dukes drooping everyone off. Keep grinding bro you gonna get in this league.
1:10 literally the first time I ever saw melo square up as a defender lol
Lavar ROBBED us from seeing him playing college ball!!
You can still watch all his games from Australia theyll be everywhere I'm pretty sure and you get to see him play against grown men
Fuck the NCAA
J Day 💯. D1 is overrated anyways how often do top prospects play their peers? They play bums all year
@J Day exactly 💯💯
Yeah he did
Svi Mykhailiuk's shot tho.
LA shouldn't have let him go.
And Melo is good. Real good
I was looking for svi but couldn't find him
The white dude smacking every 3 he shot? Lok
This dude melo was scared to shoot the whole game
LaMelo to me seems like he can become a version of younger/rookie Kyrie if he's more aggresive with his dribbles, passing, and driving into people. This video reminded me of Kyrie's highlights on 2012 USA Team practice. They do the same moves. Wish him nothing but success
Lol. Melo has no balance. He gotta develop his core. He doesn't have a consistent shot. Doesn't play defense. He should be backing these guys that are 5-6 shorter than him.
faiithe stupid ass comment. Go in and start backin down grown men? Yeah you clearly never hooped. Melo not even in gr12 yet. wtf were you doin the summer goin into ur senior year other than beatin off twice a day🤣🤣😂😂😂
Michael Jordan melo already played his senior year bro ......
Max Mulliner yeah I know cuz he went up one year.. dude should actually be starting gr12 next year. Thats his legit class
I swear I've seen this kid go from being a tiny freshman to a 6'6 guard. His vision is real.
Just prove em wrong melo don’t worry bout the haters
Svi is the best one in that gym..... mad the Lakers gave up on him 😢
No doubt. I definitely think the Lakers didn't give him time to shine. Dude can flat out ball. Lol, Svi and Melo had more chemistry in this clip than Svi and Lonzo...
12:45 dudes voice is high as hell😂😂
hahahaha i thought that too, kinda took away the wow factor
Aaaaaaaaaaaiiiii 😂
Ughhhhhhaaaaaaa
obviously, he's got a lot of work to do. but this is probably the best move for him to learn and be taught by one of the best.
Coz i watched this kid his whole youtube life Im rooting for him and want him to succeed. I can tell he has put some healthy weight on and doesnt look like a stick anymore good job Melo
I see bootleg Steven Adams Chris Paul lol i though that they were playing until i realized it was not them lol anybody else or just me
mike brown I also saw Blaker Gripphin but it wasn’t him
Bruh I was about to type the same shit then I went down to the comments to see if anybody else said something and here you was . I thought aquaman was out there 🤣
Raduljica i believe
Got me dyinggg
Who was the bootleg steven adams? Anyone know?
Messing with Rico Hines Next thing we know Montrezl Harrell finna be playing like Pascal
This kid has really improved, he went from a shot chucker to an elite PG. His passing is just as good as lonzos and his jumper looks a lot better than his. Obviously defense is a concern but theres a lot of PGs in the league who cant defend. Props kid youre gonna go high in the draft.
The one guarding melo should be in the league as well. Khalil Dukes is a beast
I was wondering if somebody was gonna notice him. That transfer from USC derailed him.
12:44 gotta be the weakest scream I’ve ever heard in my life 😂
Cuttino the perfect old vet. Been in the game almost 50 years and still giving work
The dude is like 44
Nba pros?? I see uncle drew, kevin durant’s youngest brother, and aquaman
Ben Diaz this has me crying 🤣🤣
Lmao
Yes Nba pros you don’t know hoops nigga.. cutino Mobley grey beard, Baines Celtics, Roy white Nba, white dude with black T is a Nba player .. the rest overseas and G league pros you a sucka nigga 💯
Louie Boone Melo couldn’t even D up on Mobley! Mobley like 45 and schooled him.
Louie Boone it’s a joke you clown
Jordan Stevens was cooking!!! That Lamelo begins the back tho !!! 🔥💯
Lol montrezal Harrell ballin up in here
Melo is gonna be a future all star, Jordan Stevens is a bucket
He won't even make it to the NBA! Smh
Arlo2299 nah ya niggas is some haters every young player goes through those mistakes that’s how they get better
@Arlo2299 you a hater. 1 bad pass dont mean you wont make it smh and he got fouled on the layup he missed calm down. It was pros in this game missing too , its a part of the game . You just hating cause its melo smh yall love to put someone down. What about the layups , shots , and great passes he did make smh
NoMore9toFIVES exactly bro people always gotta be jealous of another nigga
Melo is going to the league. He has the passing gift. And at 6’8, 17 yrs old and possibly still growing, he will be a lottery prospect. He just has to keep working.
This is where melo needs to be at!! every gotdamn day for the whole summer
capo75 capo here and the weight room for sure!
capo75 capo on GOD
I'm rooting for this kid, he's gonna be great... You rarely see a kid with so much talent who's a willing passer as much as he is
Melo is like a much taller Rondo. Dude gonna be averaging 7+ assists in the league. Good IQ, good vision, good handle. His game also reminds me a lot like Lonzo, although he's not the defender and athlete Zo is.
He reminds me of Deangelo Russell, surprised I didn’t see him shoot too much in this video though
He can't play defense and he can't shoot plus he turns it over a lot I doubt he makes the NBA
He probably did they just edit out misses lamelo is garbage from beyond the arch.
L M lmao clearly Melo owns real estate in your head. Must be bad especially since you don’t even personally know him and probably aren’t even good or elite enough to play up to his comp. If you’re just some old guy then maybe you should put this energy towards building a family or something idk lmao
L M rondo hasnt played defense in yeaaars
LonZo and LaMelo on different teams
LaVar : "tHeY wOnT wIn A sInGlE cHaMpIoNsHiP"
Potential to be an offensive juggernaut. Elite court vision and amazing passer. Makes teammates better offensively. Still uncommitted to improving on defense. Unconcerned on defense at times. He has the height to be a solid defender. Has very active hands, however could possibly get into foul trouble with cheap touch fouls in transition. Must improve on moving laterally to cut off quicker 1/2 guards on penetration. Must improve on defending the 3/4 off the switch and on screen/rolls to the basket. Still much love for the kid. He’ll be fine. Needs to keep working
Clearly Lonzo is the best defender out of him and LaMelo. LaMelo's feet look stuck in cement sometimes.
16:49 Remember when he would’ve shot that?
lot of people look at lamelo’s scoring but his IQ is off the charts, his ability to pass to his teammates & put them in the right spots to score is ridiculous, dude will definitely be an NBA PG soon & will get even better
damn lakers let Svi Mykhailiuk go 🤦♂️
