Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Plus is a mod made by Jdaster64 back in 2011. It was his first real modding project so changes are relatively simple. Don't expect anything crazy. This playthrough will also serve as a revisit to Superstar Saga in general, just with a little twist!
Jdaster will be joining us for this playthrough so it'll be an interesting look back at his mindset and balance changes back in the day. He also knows a lot about the game in general which will be helpful and provide some nice trivia.
And one more thing; I've actually played this mod before, all the way back in 2011. I don't really remember anything though. I just think it's interesting that I thought Jdaster was the best person ever for creating this and then actually met him later in life. Small world.

19:02 - Apparently things can't be both elementally weak and "flying-miss", which is what I was missing. Presumably by me making them (and Paratroopeas / Scaratroopeas) elemental I essentially made them grounded to Hand attacks.

Your series remind me of when I was a kid and would wait for new episodes of my favorite show to come out, it's comforting in a unique way
Man I forgot just how many song Woohoo University had within itself, Alphadream truly went above and beyond for that location. It's a shame only a few of it's many themes were remastered in the remake, but I suppose we will have to carry on their legacy here, sharing them with those ignorant of their existence. This is my favorite playthrough of this game I've seen
I'd LOVE a playthrough of the other mario and luigi games in the style of this one
This was an entertaining playthrough all throughout, the only problem with it being that it didn't last longer/have Kappy in more episodes. That ending glitch was hilarious & feels like something that would actually happen in the M&L series.
15:50 tho. That had me rolling on the floor.
At this point Woohoo Hooniversity will sound right again.

Thank you so much for doing this playthrough! Found this channel through this series and had been checking in daily for new videos since. The glitches were fun to learn about as well, and this rekindled my interest in playing Superstar Saga.

We did it guys, we broke the game
and now for a compilation of every time they mention numbers putting them to sleep... because I was too asleep to remember them
I remember a glitch when I first got to the final boss. Somehow if I got hit by bowletta attacks for a few times in a row it would boost my attack by a lot and that would help me finish bowletta faster
