How are comparing them, they're pretty different and both are killing it respectively in their roles although I'm not sure about messi rn.
But messi can not do what kante do. Messi can't stop opponent player. But kante can do it and kante can build up attacking (like messi did) and defending so he can do both of it. Maybe if his body is taller, he can be a goalie too if his team need it.
