Andra Day, u got me over the moon. You are just out of this world, Girl.
too, what an important song. I am so sorry for what African Americans had to go through in the South. There are no words. I am sorry to anyone reading this who’s bloodline was negatively affected by that shameful time in history.
Thank you Andra Day for keeping this song alive and in our memories. Lynching continues today in many forms especially in police brutality. Someone needs to write and sing a ballad about those murders.
This song gives me chills and fear just comes all over me. It is so sad. But the original version makes me feel a lot sadder. Andra Day did great. The way she sung it didn't scare me as much.
I love her version and Jill Scott I'm downloading this now
Yes!!! I’ve loved Andra for years her voice is amazing - Rise up is brilliant but this is whole new level - bring on the movie 💯👊🏾❤️
Gotta use this for my tv show
In my opinion, there are just very few singers today that I feel are true singers. Andra Day is one of them.
